Old Belvedere Women

The WXV training squad has been announced for the upcoming tournament. Scott Bemand has named a 36 player squad with 11 Belvo players included.

Ruth Campbell, Linda Djougang, Brittany Hogan, Erin King (c), Niamh O’Dowd, Fiona Tuite O’Sullivan, Enya Breen, Aoife Dalton, Robyn O’Connor, Dannah O’Brien and Katie Whelan are all included in the selection.

Ireland will play matches in Dublin, Galway and Cork before heading to South Africa for a 2 match tour.

Women’s Interpros

This weekend the Women’s Interpro tournament kicks off and 24 Belvo women are involved across the 4 provinces. 18 of the 24 have been selected in match day squads this weekend as Leinster travel to Munster and Connacht travel to Ulster.

Head Coach Fiona Hayes is also involved with the Connacht coaching staff.

Huge congratulation to the 4 Belvo women who represented Ireland in Split at the weekend. A great weekend was had where Ireland won the tournament in Split to take an overall 3rd place spot in the series, just falling shy of France and their final opponents Poland

Thankfully Clare, Amy, Robyn and Katie were able to grab a hold of the cup for a quick Belvo snap during the celebrations

Congrats to all players selected for the upcoming Croatia 7s tournament which takes place this weekend in Split! Ireland finished 6th in Hamburg a couple of weeks ago and will be looking to make progress up the leaderboard in round 2 of the championship

We also congratulate 5 of our women’s team and head coach Fiona Hayes ahead of their involvement in the upcoming interpro series with connachtwomensrugby

The club is thrilled to have her in the wolf pack bringing a wealth of experience at the highest level of the game 🐺. Her leadership, skill, and passion will be invaluable both on the pitch and in developing our backline.

This is an incredibly exciting addition for the club, and we can’t wait to see the impact Enya will have in black and white this season.
