August has easily been the busiest month of the year so far 😅

Energy has definitely been a bit lower at times, thanks to a combination of a busy ass schedule and dieting, but a bit of tiredness in the pursuit of your goals is pretty normal💅🏻

Coaching, both in-person and online, has been getting booked and busy, which I’m so bloody grateful for because I genuinely love what I’m building - a team of strong girlies🥹🩵

Football season kicked off, and I’m feeling much more settled and confident in my S&C role. I’m excited to keep learning, growing and developing in that environment over the coming season⚽️

Rehab has been progressing nicely too. Finally getting some proper load through the lower body again, cheeky bit of leg definition coming back and my quad deficit has improved by 56% since May. Wooooo🥹

Bench competition prep is well and truly underway with 3 weeks to go. We had a cheeky deload a few weeks back because your girl was feeling fairly battered, but we’re back grafting now🕺

The last full month of freedom ticked off before the madness of the MSc starts. Between coaching, football, competing, studying and rehab, life feels busy but in the best possible way🙂‍↕️

8/12✅

If you fancy joining the squad of strong girlies and making September your month, DM me “COACH” and let’s get cracking📲⚡️

“Women don’t work in sport”

Is something that was said to me a few years ago when I laid out my career plans

It stuck with me, but I was far too stubborn not to pursue that path

As an athlete, I always cared about performance

But through my own experiences with injury, alongside everything I learned through sport and education, I started to care about how we help women perform too

Whether that be on the pitch/court/track or in life

We know strength and performance matter

But so do the conversations beyond the standard reps and sets chat

Speaking about menstrual health

Conversations that help women understand that constantly feeling exhausted shouldn’t be the norm

So they can learn how to fuel, recover and train in a way that supports their body rather than being stuck in this invisible battle against it

My goal is to help women understand their bodies, trust their abilities, and realise they’re capable of far more than they’ve been led to believe

Whether you’re an athlete chasing performance or a woman who simply wants to feel stronger, healthier and more confident in herself, you deserve coaching that helps you understand your body

Coaching that isn’t centred around burning calories and becoming the smallest version of yourself

Coaching with me isn’t centred around calories but centred around helping you become the strongest, healthiest and most capable version of yourself

If that sounds like what you’re looking for, DM me “COACH” 💙

Unfortunately many of us have spent years focusing on what we want to lose, without giving thought to what we could build

Many of the outcomes many of us are chasing - strength, definition, confidence, athleticism and long-term health are found by building, not by merely shrinking

Instead of asking “How do I get smaller?”

Start asking: “What could I build?”

I don’t know about you, but building strength, confidence, resilience and a body that’s capable

Sounds far more fulfilling than dropping weight, dress sizes and a few inches here and there

If you’re ready to shift the narrative and start focusing on what you can build, DM me”COACH” and let’s chat🕺📲

Thought it was time for a cheeky check-in seeing as we’re 20 days out from comp (what the helly?!) 😮‍💨

We’re into week 2 of the peak block after a much-needed deload 2 weeks ago

We hit 82.5kg x 1 today on bench, followed up with 3x3 @ 75kg

At the competition in June, we hit 85kg

This time we’re hoping for 90kg🙂‍↕️

Body composition has also continued to progress, with 11.5kg down since February and 71cm lost on my body overall

This is the lightest I’ve been since mid-2023, but that’s not the most interesting part of this journey

I’m also one of the strongest versions of myself from a performance perspective, proving that I can come back stronger regardless

Rehab is coming together too, slowly but surely

Bench is going to outperform my lower body for another wee while yet and honestly, I‘m not bad at it

It was the end of March before I started feeling somewhat normal again after everything that came with the accumulation of 3 lots of surgery, anaesthetic and recovery in the 2nd half of last year

And since then it’s been a balancing act between uni, rehab, a research role, S&C coaching, my business, and the usual life chaos

But if there’s anything this chapter has reinforced it’s that when life gets busy, it’s easy to feel like you’re failing if the scale is your only measure of progress

But big strong girlies are stubborn and keep pushing because they know that by setting additional goals alongside body comp like performance, career and personal gives them plenty of other ways to keep winning when progress slows in one area

If you’re ready to work towards your own goals with a coach who’ll support you, challenge you, and keep you accountable, DM me “COACH”📲⚡️

17 months ago, Allegra struggled to even walk into a gym

Fast forward to today and she’s casually finessing a squat rack during rush hour and filming her sets in a busy gym for feedback💅🏻

I mean… excuse me?! 🥹

As amazing as the weights lifted are, they’re probably the least exciting part of this whole journey tbh

Yeah, she got stronger, but how she saw herself changed along the way too

She stopped questioning whether she belonged in the gym or worrying about doing something wrong

There was no more feeling like she needed to shrink herself to fit in or restrict her food to “make up for” enjoying herself

Pizza with the girls?? Ehh yes please 🍕

She started wearing the bikini, going on holiday and actually enjoying it. Without being concerned about whether her body was a “bikini body” or whether what she ate at brekkie would leave her bloated

She started living her best life

And she started choosing to train because she genuinely wanted to, rather than because she felt like she should

This is why I bang on about coaching being about so much more than sets, reps and calories

Yes, we’ll build muscle, get stronger and fitter and work towards the goals you come to me with

But I also want you to leave coaching believing in yourself a little more than you did when you started

Because the best transformations aren’t always the ones you can see in a progress photo

Most of the time, they’re the ones where you look back at the woman you were 17 months ago and barely recognise her

Allegra, take a bloody bow my g❤️‍🔥😭

And if you’re currently where Allegra was 17 months ago - intimidated, overwhelmed, lacking confidence and not really sure where to start - lemme help

Turns out I’m pretty freaking good at it 😌

5 years 🥹⭐️

Clearly 17 year old me didn’t have a scooby what she was getting herself into when she qualified as a PT 😂

What started as something to stay connected to sport and fill a gap after losing football has turned into something I’m proud to call a career, driven by a passion to improve the standard of support available to women in fitness, sport and beyond 🕺

Those 5 years have consisted of a degree, approximately 400 qualifications, a lot of learning, some expensive lessons, a healthy dose of self-doubt and a few too many operations 😅

Despite there being multiple moments over the last 5 years where I wanted to sack it all off, we’re still here - out here learning, growing and developing🙂‍↕️

While I’m proud and grateful for how far I’ve come, I’m even more excited about what’s still to come

The last 5 years have been laying the foundations, and now we get to build the house with everything we’ve learned 🥹

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far 🫶🏻

5 down. Here’s to the next 5 ⭐️

If you want to work with a coach who’s chatty, a little sarcastic and passionate about helping women get stronger, DM me “COACH” 💌

Just a collection of things I find kinda chic 💅🏻

If you also find these kinda chic, we’ll probably get on pretty well 🤭🕺

DM me “COACH” and we can be kinda chic together while you get stronger 🩵📲
