This weeks results
Snr A had there 1st League game at home to Portumna Twn, although we dominated the possession we found it hard to break down the visitors, it took until the 2nd period when Lorcan Campion put us ahead, Killian Fennell made it 2-0. The visitors pulled a goal back but Harps take all 3 points.
Senior B team had our first league match of the new season away to Nenagh Celtic this morning.
This was a very competitive game and the boys put in a really strong performance. Playing against the hill in the first half was always going to be tough but we were rock solid in defence and had a couple of decent chances ourselves from Marco and a Josh Quinlan effort which hit the crossbar. Half time 0-0
In to the second half and we started to take the game to Celtic. With Nenagh under pressure, their keeper brought down Marco in the box and up stepped Cathal to bury the penalty.
Unfortunately we started to tire from the effort the boys put in, in the first half, and Nenagh caught us for two quick goals. To the lads credit they kept pushing for an equaliser and had a couple of decent chances first from a Jimbob Kennedy free kick and then a couple of chances for Michael McCarty. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. Full time Nenagh Celtic 2 - Bt 1
Lots of positives to take from today especially the performances of the younger players Joe, Paul, Abdul, Fionn and Michael. They all proved they are more than ready for men’s senior football.

A hattrick from Issac Owens, Jack Madden,Mackenzie Quinlan and Dylan Fennell got 1 each. Great team performance but special mention to Dylan Fennell and our captain Tadgh Stapleton
Cloghjordan U14 - 1
BT Harps U14A - 4
Another away win for BT Harps 14A against a very strong Cloghjordan side. Four wonderful goals from Jake McGuinness gave the boys a great win. Brilliant performances from Darragh Feehan, Ultan Jones, Eoghan Slevin and in particular Jake McGuinness. MotM this week was Sebby Tonde outstanding display up front. Touch and distribution were terrific today, work rate to a very high level, creating space whilst bringing his team mates into play. Well done Sebby!! 🏆
Today our U12 girls were away to Killavilla, and came away with a comprehensive 3 nil win over our local rivals. We started off strong with our backs, moving the ball quickly into the centre and then up to our forwards and within 5 minutes, Florence Mcguinness scored with an assist by aoife deegan.We continued to work hard and seven minutes later , Laoise cowen scored after working tirelessly from midfield, tearing up Killavillas defence with a great goal. We went in at half time 2 nil up. We came back on and kIllavilla dominated for the first 10 mins and our back line defended well with our goalie Georgie protecting her goal well. However, we gained back control and with great passing and determination from the whole team, Florence McGuinness scored her second after
the 40 minute assisted again by Aoife Deegan. Great game and real achievement to come away with a win and clean sheet away from home. Contributions were made from all players but we have to mention Lauren Martin, who was thorn in Killavillas side, running from backs into midfields into forwards. She had such great energy today. Also Niamh Keane played a brilliant match as the final line in defence. Again lots of choice for POTM but it has to go to Laoise Cowen, who was incredible from the word go. She was a powerhouse in midfield, creating options, brilliant passes and great composure. She was super today. Well done Laoise and well done to the team.
U12 National Cup
BT Harps Black v Pallas United of Limerick
Bkackcastle welcomed Pallas to Templemore for the first round of the u12 National Cup today.
Pallas got off to a perfect start with a looping ball that went in over our keeper and dipped below the bar. Blackcastle players, some of whom didn't even know each other before the match, gradually got to grips with the game playing some lovely passes to their new team mates while dedending well. We could easily have gone 2 nil down but for an outstanding triple save from Jake Nesbitt in goals,
Dan Maher playing a great pass to Jack Maher - no relation - who took on the challenge, racing through to slot past the keeper. 1 - 1. Still on a high from the first goal Jack went at it again, scoring a brilliant second goal a few minutes later with a half volley skinning the inside of the Pallas post.
HT 2- 1 to Blackcastle.
A series of subs were introduced before, during and after half time but the lads still played cohesive football and were unlucky to concede within 5 minutes of the second half. Pallas had plenty of bodies at the back post and slotted home. 2- 2.
Their third goal came with 10 minutes to go and was extremely unlucky from Blackcastle!s perspective, an unfortunate own goal from their corner kick.
With time ticking down our lads piled on the pressure to try for the equaliser, with the subs all asking would it be extra time or penalties, and the coaches none the wiser, Johnny Soproni stood over a free kick in the scoring zone. He and Harry Eid were plotting their best options before Johnny let fly towards the top corner , with the Pallas keeper tipping it onto the bar with the threads of his gloves, very unlucky not to score.
FT 3- 2 to Pallas. They go through to the next round while our boys head with their heads firmly held high to the National Trophy draw.
All players who took to the field today played really well, too many to mention, but joint MoM goes to Jack Maher, who was all over the pitch, scoring two and wasn't even playing as striker, and Jake Nesbitt whose overall positioning and shot stopping kept the opposition scores down, which kept the game alive until the final minutes.
Under 12 green team were playing at home in their third outing in the league on a wet dirty evening v Nenagh Celtic Chances were tough to come for both team Bt got the break through in the 27th minute Daìthe Jones with a shot from outside the box 1 nil to the harps .The second it was nip and tuck Nenagh got a free kick due to a mix up between defender and goalie one all from then on it was all BT harps kept the ball on the ground and played some good football The second goal came from Patrick Clavin after a shot from Robert O Brien was blocked by the Nenagh keeper 2/ 1 to us Robert O Brien got in on the scoring after some great footwork through the middle of the park and with 2 minutes leon Lawlor finished off the game with a well taken goal game finished Bt Harps 4 Nenagh celtic 1 great performances all over the pitch but man of the match has to go to Aaron Maher well done Aaron

Nenagh Celtic U12A- 1
Our under 12 boys were out again today against a strong Nenagh side.
It was a very even game throughout. The 1st half was dominated by BT with Harry Eid hitting the post and Billy Carey close on a few occasions. The boys continued to give it their all and it was 0-0 at half time.
The second half continued in the same vein but Nenagh started to come back into it and with 10 minutes to go a good strike from the edge of the box flew past Michael Hogan who played very well between the sticks today.
Special thanks goes to Darragh Fennell, Sam Cullinane and Cian Scully for stepping up from our Under 11 squad to help us out today.
No man of the match this match as everyone played their socks off and this was our best performance so far.
The boys should be very proud of themselves.
