It is an absolute delight to announce that following the 2026 SMK Season Sive have secured Overall Placings in 7 of the 8 Championship Categories. Following a fantastic season 5 of our crews will lift the trophy as Overall Champions for 2026 namely our Under 14s, 16s, 18s and Senior Ladies crews aswell as our Under 16s Boys crew while our Under 14s Boys/Mixed crew and Under 18s Boys crew will be awarded the Runners-Up award for their performances 👏
A special shoutout to our Girls & Ladies section on winning every single Ladies Overall including some powerful wins 💪
So that’s a huge shout out to our Under 14s Ladies, Under 16s Ladies, Under 18s Ladies and Senior Ladies on their dominance 💛💙
Also an enormous shout out to our Under 16s Boys on retaining their Overall Title from 2025 and taking a Clean Sweep of the season winning all 8 races 💛💙

After a 20 year wait, the Overall 4-Oar Shield will return to Sive Rowing Club 🥹

Thanks so much to Mickey Murphy, Pádraig Ó Sé, James Fox, Ciaran Shine and Stephen Connell for coxing and training crews all year and to Billy Shine, Páidí Garvey and Tony Carney for their handy work and repairs. Thanks aswell to Billy and Ciaran for towing the boats to and from Regattas! And of course thank you to our Committee of Mary Fogarty, Marie Neill and Kathleen McCarthy aswell as Pádraig for all they do for us!

Bantry Bound for 2027 🔥
Sive Rowing Club welcomes the announcement of the venue of the 35th Annual All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships as Bantry, Co. Cork once again!
We are greatly looking forward to the event, and following the success of this year’s championships it is looking like it’ll be another massive weekend!

The finish of the Under 14s Ladies Final at the 2026 All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships in Bantry, won in great style by our A crew in the toughest of conditions. Our B crew rowed excellently to follow home in a super second position aswell!

What a race! Well done to all crews on competing in the largest straight final in the history of the Irish Coastal Rowing Federation with 17 boats stretched across the course in Bantry in the toughest of conditions! A huge congratulations aswell to our crew on winning and to Whitegate Rowing Club and Flesk Valley Rowing Club on 2nd and 3rd 👏
