Stretching to a new height in the New Year!
•
January sets the beginning of a new cycle, the refreshed energy guides is to set new goals.
Following my last post about meditation, we can also use meditation to set vision of what we love to achieve.
It is done by,
• Sitting for 5-10 minutes in a comfortable position and just focus on your breathing.
• Allow every breath to flow effortlessly and clear away the old energy.
• Once you arrive at a calmer state, set your intention with a positive attitude.
• Then focus on your mind eye while being completely relaxed and ask The Universe to bring you the vision that aligns with your aspiration.
• Sit for another 5 minutes and allow any thoughts to flow freely into your mind.
• When you are ready, gradually bring your attention back to the body and notice how good you feel.
• Finish the practice with gratitude and jot down your thoughts.
•
It might take a few practices to achieve the flow state if you are new to meditation. Keep your faith in practice, it will come to you when the timing is right.
Namaste,
Joey x

Wellness for Women (WfW)
-
As women, we don’t need to be perfect all the time. Yes, it is our nature to be the Miss Perfect in all roles - the perfect gf/ wife/ partner/ mother/ daughter/ sister/ petmom/ manager/ athlete/ businesswomen/ entrepreneur/ friend/ self/ and-everything-thing-else-that-we-think-and-not-think-of.
On the other hand, it is ‘perfectly’ fine to be imperfect, and, it is okay to,
-
1. Take a couple days off routine;
2. Have a lie in;
3. Be completely still, physically and mentally and spiritually, and not give five cents;
4. Enjoy being in our own skin.
-
The moment we live now cannot be re-lived, we might as pick the most pleasing option(s).

Carnivore Diet Day 9
•
Second last day of my diet experiment, remember to keep an open mind when you read my updates on blog.
It has been a very fun self-discovery thus far, and definitely reminds me of those four weeks when I removed sugar and refined carbohydrates 6 years ago. Lucky I was already fat and keto-adapted which made transiting to Carnivore easier.
Tomorrow would be the last day of the experiment and all stats would be uploaded next week.
Feel free to DM me if you have questions about why and how to do Carnivore diet safely.

What an honour to be training at Altitude.
All thanks to Doug who introduced me to this beautiful gym in Creekside. The gym is bright, warm and welcoming, with the newest machines, functional training and spinning studio upstairs. And oh, infrared sauna!!

Resistance Training
…
What is the difference between weight training and resistance training?
Weight training recruits machine and free weight such as dumbbells, plates and barbells, etc, the primary focus is for hypertrophy (muscle gain) and increasing strength and power.
A high body awareness is required in order to perform exercises with proper muscle control for desired results.
…
Resistance training uses tools like cable (as shown), resistance bands, etc., focusing on building body awareness and conditioning muscular control and balance.
The (resistance) load should be light and it is used to increase muscular control on rotational and eccentric movements, as well as building a good mind-body connection.
