🏆🎾 Hong Kong, China Davis Cup Squad Announced! 🎾🏆

Led by Captain Andy Lau, Team Hong Kong will set off to Santa Cruz, Bolivia for the Davis Cup World Group II first round on September 18–19.

👥 Team lineup: Wong Tsz Fu, Jack Cheng, Choi Fu Wang, Nicholas Cheng and Tam Sin Hang

✨ This tie’s squad features young talents aged between 15 and 20. Wong Tsz Fu, Jack Cheng, Nicholas Cheng and Tam Sin Hang were members of Hong Kong U20 men’s team at the 15th National Games, where they made history by winning bronze — Hong Kong’s first ever team medal in tennis!

由隊長劉駿軒率領的代表隊即將遠赴玻利維亞聖克魯斯，於9月18–19日出戰台維斯盃世界II組第一輪賽事。

👥 出戰名單：王子夫、程銘燦、蔡富泓、鄭肇致、譚善恆

✨ 是次陣容以年輕球員為主，年齡介乎15至20歲。當中王子夫、程銘燦、鄭肇致及譚善恆，曾同為第十五屆全國運動會香港男子U20代表隊成員，歷史性以第三名奪得香港首面網球團體項目獎牌！

💪 期待港隊再創佳績，為香港爭光！

Thompson halted in US Open 3rd round

US Open Tennis Championships boys' singles 3rd round: Kai Thompson (HKG) briefly led 3-0 in the second set but world No. 1 Guto Miguel's aggressive baseline game shone through today, as the Brazilian broke serve four times to go through in straight sets 6-2 6-4. In the boys' doubles second round, with a lone service break, Kamil Stolarczyk/Daniel Malacek (USA) defeated Kai Thompson/Jakub Kusy (CZE) 7-6(4) 6-3.

Nevertheless, Thompson is only the second player from Hong Kong to reach the third round and beyond in the boys' singles, and the first since Coleman Wong's semifinal showing here in 2022.

美國公開賽青少年男子單打第三圈：香港代表朱鍇泓在第二盤一度領先 3-0，但世界排名第一的頭號種子 Guto Miguel (巴西) 今場盡顯全攻形打法，四度破發，最終以 6-2 6-4 直落兩盤勝出。男子雙打第二圈：Kamil Stolarczyk/Daniel Malacek (美國) 憑着一次破發以 7-6(4)6-3 擊敗朱鍇泓/Jakub Kusy (捷克)。

雖然如此，朱鍇泓仍成為香港史上第二位打入青少年大滿貫男子單打第三圈或更遠階段的球手，亦是自2022年黃澤林晉身美國公開賽四強後的第一人。

Kai Thompson after his 6-7(4) 6-2 7-5 win against 21st-ranked Dante Pagani (ARG) to put him through to the third round of the US Open Tennis Championships: "Super happy to have come through my second round match. It was a big fight that took a lot to overcome and I am super happy of the way that I was able to come back and end up winning the match. Felt like I was starting to play at a better level than my first round, as I feel like I am starting to find my feet a bit more. Still a little off from where I would like to be playing but I am just happy with the way that I’ve been fighting so far. Excited for my next round match!"

US Open Tennis Championships boys' singles round two: Kai Thompson (HKG) converted 7 of 17 break points and hit 31 winners to come from a set down and beat 21st-ranked Dante Pagani (ARG) 6-7(4) 6-2 7-5. The HK rep will next face reigning French Open champion and top-seeded world No. 1 Guto Miguel (BRA) for a place in the quarterfinals. In the boys' doubles, Thompson and Jakub Kusy (CZE) combined to defeat No. 7 seed Daniel Jade/Mathys Domenc (FRA) 6-4 3-6 [10-5] and they will next play Daniel Malacek/Kamil Stolarczyk (USA) for a QF spot as well.

Thompson advances at US Open

At the US Open Tennis Championships, world No. 34 Kai Thompson served 19 aces and hit 33 winners to beat 87th-ranked wildcard entry Navneet Raghuram (USA) 7-6(1) 1-6 6-4 to progress to the second round of the boys' singles. He will next face 21st-ranked Dante Pagani (ARG), who upset No. 16 seed Nicolas Baena (PER) in the opening round.

美國公開賽青少年男子單打，世界排名 34 的朱鍇泓轟下 19 個 ace 及 33 個致勝球，以 7-6(1) 1-6 6-4 擊敗排名第 87 位的外卡球手 Navneet Raghuram (美國)，晉級第二圈。他下一場會對在首圈爆冷擊敗 16 號種子的阿根廷對手、世界排名 21 的 Dante Pagani。

Chong bested by No. 7 seed at US Open

Second round of the US Open women's doubles, Eudice Chong/Yang Zhaoxuan (HKG/CHN) served for the first set leading 5-4 but Jiang Xinyu/Zhang Shuai broke them to love, with proceedings eventually going to a tiebreak where the No. 7 seed overcame the loss of four mini-breaks to take it 8-6. Although Chong/Yang managed to save three break points in the ensuing set, Jiang/Zhang broke serve in the third, fifth, and seventh games to run away with a 7-6(6) 6-1 victory.

美國公開賽女雙第二圈，張瑋桓/楊釗煊 (香港/中國) 在首盤 5-4 領先時發球局被破。當比賽最後進入決勝局，7號種子蒋欣玗/張帥 (中國) 雖然四次被破發，但仍以 8-6 拿下首盤。儘管張瑋桓/楊釗煊在第二盤挽救了三個破發分，但蒋欣玗/張帥成功在第三、第五和第七局再次破發，最終以 7-6(6) 6-1 的比分贏得這場比賽。

Chong wins in US Open doubles debut

No player from Hong Kong has competed in women's doubles at the US Open since Patricia Hy last did it in 1987. The first-time partnership of Eudice Chong/Yang Zhaoxuan (HKG/CHN) did not disappoint, as they broke Daria Kasatkina/Yuliia Starodubtseva four times to win in straight sets 6-4 6-4. In doing so, Chong became the first player from Hong Kong to advance to the second round in women's doubles here at Flushing Meadows. The duo next faces No. 7 seed Zhang Shuai/Jiang Xinyu (CHN).

Yang Zhaoxuan is currently ranked No. 62 but reached a high of No. 9 (23 Jan 2023). She owns 7 career WTA doubles titles - Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Dubai, Shenzhen, Indian Wells, San Jose, and Strasbourg. She won the gold medal in women's doubles at the National Games in 2017 and 2021. She also defeated No. 1 seed Latisha Chan/Chan Hao-Ching in the final to win the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games.

與此同時，張瑋桓成為首位在美國公開賽打入女雙第二圈的香港球手。

楊釗煊目前世界排名 62，最高曾達到第 9 位 (2023年1月23日)。她職業生涯共獲得 7 個 WTA 雙打冠軍，分別是吉隆坡、東京、杜拜、深圳、印第安泉大師賽、聖荷西和史特拉斯堡。她曾獲 2017 及 2021 年全運會女子雙打金牌。此外，她更加在 2018 年亞運決賽中擊敗頭號種子詹詠然/詹皓晴組合，奪得金牌。
