The Knockout champions Pan African fc earlier on today Saturday, beats the League champions Nema United in a post march penalty shootout, after a goaless draw at the regulation.

The Winners, Pan Africa went home with a giant trophy, a gold medal and a cash prize of D30,000, while the runners up Nema Utd went home with a silver medal and a cash prize of 20,000 as consolation prize.

🏸 DAY 2 OF THE 10-DAY BADMINTON TRAINING PROGRAM

The Gambia Badminton Association, under the leadership of its President, Abdoulie Ceesay, is currently conducting a 10-day training program for Physical Education (P.E.) teachers and selected coaches.

Today marks Day 2 of this important training activity, which is designed to improve participants’ skills, knowledge, coaching techniques, and understanding of badminton.

The program will run for 10 days, giving participants the opportunity to gain practical experience and the necessary knowledge to confidently teach and introduce badminton to students, children, and other young people who have an interest in the sport.

The initiative is part of the Association’s commitment to grassroots development and the expansion of badminton across schools and communities in The Gambia.

The Gambia Secondary Schools Sports Association and Schools Football Association earlier on today Thursday the 6th of August 2026, hold its Electoral congress and an extraordinary congress at Soma in Lower River Region.
The day long event starts with the presentation of reports like financial reports, activity reports and remarks as well as comments and enquiries. The final part of the day activity witness the Election of new executives, who will stear the affairs of the Schools sports in the next four years.

The 3x3 Basketball competition, sponsored and organized by Plus Jeuf, featured both male and female teams last Saturday at the Serekunda East Basketball Court.

The competition included 8 male teams and 4 female teams. SK East won in both categories, securing a home victory for the East side.
As winners, both teams were awarded medals in appreciation of their performance.

Sukuta base side Sukuta Newtown FA wins the Serekunda Central knockout final today Sunday 2nd August 2026, at the newly inaugurated football field in Bakoteh, which is named after Late Omar Jallow, dubbed O.J Jallow memorial Mini stadium formally called Mboyo field. The penalty shootout ends 7.6 in favour of Sukuta Newtown FA. who wins the the first final played at the newly built Mini stadium at Bakoteh.
