The Ghana Judo Federation (GJF), in collaboration with the IJF - International Judo Federation (IJF), has successfully concluded a landmark two-day Refereeing and Coaching Seminar aimed at strengthening technical knowledge, improving officiating standards, and enhancing athlete development across the country.

The seminar brought together 20 senior athletes from various clubs within Accra, while also welcoming back experienced athletes whose return reflects renewed confidence in the Federation’s ongoing growth and rebranding efforts.

The sessions were led by distinguished IJF officials, Juan Carlos Barcos and Tonino Chyurlia, who provided participants with invaluable international exposure and practical guidance on modern refereeing standards, coaching techniques, competition readiness, and athlete safety.

A major highlight of the seminar was the exceptional support from Rokmer Pharma Ltd., whose timely intervention ensured the smooth ex*****on of the program. Their contribution, which included financial support and essential medical supplies, guaranteed a safe and professionally managed training environment for all participants.

This partnership goes beyond sponsorship, reflecting a shared commitment to athlete welfare, youth development, and the growth of judo in Ghana. Thanks to this support, the Federation successfully delivered a high-quality international seminar, reinforcing its standards and impact.
