π how good was it to have the show arena back again this year π
Great to see the arena lined with spectators, big thanks to Scunthorpe MCC, Rich Towers with his Pit Bike Crew inc Medd Racing & The Hellfire Hellion Collective for entertaining the crowds.
Shout out to Humber Event Rentals Ltd who set up and manned the PA system for the night also.

What a weekend at FAB Racing! π
Hooton Park has always been a circuit we enjoy, but this weekend felt different.
Last year Thomas raced here on his old bike. Fast forward 12 months and we're now only two race weekends into the new Ohvale GP2 190, and we're really starting to get to grips with it.
Saturday saw Thomas qualify 7th with a 41.060 before fighting through to finish 7th after a poor start in Race 1.
Sunday brought another big step forward. Thomas found over half a second in morning warm up with a 40.531, before bringing home 7th in Race 2 and 8th in Race 3.
More importantly, the lap times kept coming down all weekend:
π Saturday Qualifying β 41.060
π Sunday warm up β 40.531
π Best race lap β 40.000
We're now consistently running with the riders around us and edging ever closer to those all-important 39-second laps. In fact... Thomas' own timer actually flashed up 39.99, and we'd made a bet that he couldn't get into the 39s! π€£ Let's just say he wasn't too impressed when the official timing gave him a 40.000! π
One of the highlights of the weekend, though, had nothing to do with lap times. Watching Thomas and his Uncle Trick sharing the track and racing each other was brilliant. There was plenty of friendly banter all weekend about who was going to be quickest, and it definitely made for one of the most enjoyable race weekends we've had as a family.
The exciting part is we've only raced this bike for two weekends. Every session we're learning more about the bike, making improvements, and Thomas's confidence is growing. It really feels like everything is starting to come together, and there's still so much more to come.
A massive thank you to everyone who supports Medd Racingβit genuinely means a lot.
We're only just getting started. ππ
