๐ข COMMUNITY UPDATE โ THE GOLDEN LION
We know things have been a little quiet recently, and we appreciate everyoneโs patience.
Behind the scenes, the Community Pub & Hub team has been working hard to explore a range of opportunities to secure the future of the Golden Lion as both a pub and a valued community space.
One important piece of good news is that the building has now been granted Asset of Community Value (ACV) status, thanks to the hard work and support of the Parish Council. This protects the building from being converted into residential use for the next five years and helps safeguard its future for our community.
We will be sharing a full update, including the options available and the work that has been taking place, at a community meeting on:

Tackling antisocial behaviour in your neighbourhood ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
We will be increasing our efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour (ASB) across North Yorkshire in a bid to improve safety and the quality of life for the people and families living in our communities.
Through partnership working, proactive engagement and enforcement, we aim to reduce behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to other people.
As part of our action plan, we will be increasing patrols in ASB, street crime and retail crime hotspots, while also providing support and resources for vulnerable individuals who may be at risk of becoming involved in ASB.
Officers and PCSO's will be conducting various community walkabouts, listening events, and engaging with business owners across the county.
We will be working closely with our partners as we undertake joint tasking with council ASB teams and make use of ASB powers where they are required.
We know how distressing ASB can be for victims and witnesses, so if you feel threatened or you think certain behaviour could be breaking the law then please let us know. Your safety continues to be our top priority.
In an emergency, please contact North Yorkshire police via 999. For anything else, please contact us via 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
