A brilliant evening on the water for our Progressive Paddle! We paddled the 5km route to Linton, worked on a new stroke, focused on hinging from the hips to improve our technique, and enjoyed some fantastic conditions.

Well done everyone, another awesome evening on the water, and the drink at the pub at the end was totally worth it! 🍻🚣☀️

Well Alfred… 214 summits completed. 😂⛰️

Yesterday I completed all 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District, and I couldn’t have picked a more special place to finish than . I started this annual weekend there 9 years ago, so it felt like the perfect place to bring the journey to an end.

What started as “just” climbing the Wainwrights turned into so much more. It gave me confidence, incredible experiences, lifelong friendships, my outdoor qualifications, and ultimately the opportunity to create and run Yorkie Talkies Outdoors.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, walked countless miles with me, put up with my “it’s only a little extra summit” moments, and shared so many adventures. You’ve all been part of this achievement.

And Alfred… thanks for the list. 😂 I can finally stop dragging people up random fells just because they’re on it… or can I? 😉

Here’s to whatever adventure comes next. 🧡

Our 9th year at the beautiful Burnthwaite Farm B&B and Holiday Cottage , and it genuinely feels a little bit like coming home every time.

What a weekend... paddle boarding on the Wast water, mountain adventures, cold plunges, incredible evening buffet, including delicious sourdough from Dough Bakery (York) , yummy pizzas from Georgina, and even a bit of World Cup cheering along the way! ⚽⛰️🏄‍♀️

**Walking, Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat**

This special weekend offers the chance to step away from everyday life and immerse yourself fully in nature, movement and rest 🌿

This soulful retreat combines guided walking, yoga and mindfulness, led by the YTO team alongside expert clinical psychologist David Fong.

Enjoy time in stunning Peak District landscapes, with space to slow down, reconnect and focus on your wellbeing — without pressure or expectations.

🥾Walking

On Saturday and Sunday, you can choose between:

• A mindful / wellbeing walk, led by David, focusing on gentle walking, nature connection, mindfulness and reflection

or

• A longer, traditional YTO guided walk for those who would like to cover more distance

Both options will be fully guided and supported, allowing you to shape the weekend around what feels right for you.

🧘Yoga & Mindfulness

The retreat includes two yoga sessions, designed to complement the walking and help you stretch, relax and unwind.

Yoga is suitable for all levels, whether you’re brand new to yoga or already have a regular practice. Sessions will be inclusive, supportive and focused on wellbeing rather than performance.

Alongside this, David will guide mindfulness and wellbeing elements throughout the weekend, sharing practical tools and techniques you can take away and use in everyday life.
