It was another busy weekend for club riders out enjoying themselves on 2 wheels and competing in races across the country and abroad.
Darcey, Sidney and a few others competing at the cross country in Forest of Dean with Sidney taking top spot on the podium. Congratulations!
Special mention to long term club member Rupert pushing the limits at the junior world series in Davos. Unbelievable commitment and a great showing flying the flag for club and country! Da Iawn!
Tomorrow we are OnegiantleapLlangollen.co.uk honing our skills on some steep tracks and getting our eye in for the upcoming Welsh Cycling Mountain Bike XC Series. It's going to be awesome!

Last weekend club members were out in force, enjoying the weather racing or just having fun on their bikes using the skills and techniques we practise regularly.
First up for racing we had Toby at the North Wales Go Ride race demonstrating perfect technique to take a podium spot. Congratulations!
Then we have Ethan, Idris and Jack representing and excelling in the Rippers and Juniors at the Welsh National DH Championship Revolution Bike Park - Llangynog
Last but by no means least some of the team descended on Antur Stiniog Cyf for some on the slatey trails there.
There is no better way to enjoy the sunshine! Well done everyone!

Some of the club were racing this weekend at Gravity Events UK Mini Downhill at OnegiantleapLlangollen.co.uk. The trail and event was a great introduction for riders that would like to dip their toe in the world.of.downhill. All the kids did fantastically, improving with each run and there may even have been some podiums! ๐๐๐
Well done everyone!

Round 2 and 3 of Gravity Events UK Downhill Mini are coming to .
See there FB post and website for entry details.
Venue announcement for our Mini Races , we start at Nant Goch which proved really successful . There will be some track changes and a longer track for 2026. Then Llangollen for the next 2 races with the new push-up and then we finish up at Revโs for the final round . We host these with the aim too create an ideal series in which the rider can gain confidence and track craft along with the skills and knowledge to aim for bigger events. With Rider briefings each morning where we run through the days setup, saftey and race regulations among other things. Itโs an ideal series for the rider and parents to learn about racing from an organiser thatโs passionate about the sport and passes that knowledge onto the future champions of tomorrow!
Sign on at www.gravity-events.uk/events and book in for either the Saturday or the Sunday or both! With free camping! Lots of advice and knowledge amongst the most laid back weekend of racing you can have.

Great to see volunteers in the focus from the North this week for WCVA CGGC Volunteers' Week Sport Wales
Meet Mary Hext from Oneplanet Adventure Club in North Wales. ๐
A passionate and dedicated volunteer, Mary gives so much of her time to support cycling in Wales and help others experience the joy of getting on a bike. ๐
Hear why Mary dedicates so much of her time to cycling in Wales: ๐ฃ๏ธ
"I started volunteering due to lack of mountain bike clubs providing opportunities for kids and juniors in North East Wales. I enjoy being part of a club where like minded people can come together, learn and progress their skills, enjoy the outdoors and improve their wellbeing. Volunteering has given me opportunities to coach alongside and learn from some top GB coaches at National and European events and see hundreds of kids progress through the sport."
