At Marine Gardens flamingo putting green . Gerald / Frazier/Andrew and myself Huggy, would like to THANK everyone for turning up to contend in our "Flamingo world putting championships" today.

What a way to finish! A massive thank-you to everyone who turned up for our first flamingo world putting championships. You brought the laughs the skills… the competition the questionable putting skills and of course the flamingos 😂🦩⛳️

Congratulations to our CHAMPIONS!! You can OFFICIALLY call yourselves FLAMINGO WORLD PUTTING LEGENDS 👑🦩🏆

But seriously !!! Thank you to every single person who has supported us during our first season. Whether you came along for a game, joined an event, brought friends and family, or helped just spread the word-you’ve helped make Marine flamingo putting green in our first season what it is today and what it could become in the future. 💕🦩

And if you thought that was it THINK AGAIN . 👀🦩

We’ve already got some BIG plans for 2027. Bigger events, New challenges, more competitions more fun and probably way too many FLAMINGOS 🦩🦩🦩👀

Season 2 is hopefully going to be epic. 🔥🦩🏆

Just a couple of things .

Thanks to Marine Gardens Bowling Club for their support this year. We have thoroughly enjoyed staging a couple of events on our putting green this year and many thanks for the use of their premises today in case of bad weather .

They donated the vouchers to our flamingo putting championships winner today . So many Thanks

Our intention this year at marine gardens flamingo putting green is to donate a few funds to Friends of Marine Gardens - Worthing volunteers who keep marine gardens looking so picturesque throughout the past 8 years .

They turn up every week good weather and bad offering their help at a financial and physical cost to themselves.

In our eyes extremely commendable.

We have raised a few funds over the last few weeks as a Thank you for all their help In our first year. Especially Phil.

We thank Worthing Borough Council for their support this year especially Mathew and Joanna. We hope we get the chance over years to come to return to Marine Gardens putting green making it a place on the Worthing Town map for people to come let their hair down and have many family moments.

This Autumn renovations with the help of friends and the council we intend to work on the green in the first week of November. These works are very necessary to try and get the putting green growing properly everywhere so as we don’t have so many bare spots next year. If we can get the grass thicker and more lust hopefully it will remain playable for the whole year and years to come .

It does mean shutting the green from November to January to give the new grass a chance to establish .

Once again, Top Notch everyone and keep FLAMINGO-ING 🦩🦩🦩⛳️💕

PRACTICE STARTS AT 9 AM

TOURNAMENT STARTS AT 11AM .

The bowling club have kindly let me use their function room in case there is some rain .

WEATHER 50/50 on Sunday .

Can’t wait to see you all . I promise you it will be difficult but exciting.

Morning all . We had the marine gardens bowling green competition yesterday at marine gardens flamingo 🦩 putting green .

I am pleased to announce that Alan who was runner up in their previous competition finally defeated the hills and crevices of our flamingo 🦩 green .

Yippee rains are back and the green is colouring up .
But the green has been running fast but still remarkably not too bumpy .

Roll on next year for our much improved green
