Why the plastic horse?
Because I have a lame one or a new one, a sharp one a slow one.
Because I have a weak leg, a dominant side, a horse that wanders left and another that goes right, a glute that fires like a train and the other like a slug.
Because I drop my left shoulder or my back just gives me grief, I promised my accommodating horse I would turn over a new leaf.
I know I could do better but it’s hard when he knows me so well, I think my wonky hip doesn’t help at night it gives me hell.
So watching the first rider feel the power she has so missed,
The transformation to elation as the right frog has now been kissed.
Dreams of finding a new horse now seem so real, the reignited memories of an unforgettable feel.
Another magic moment shared between two friends, supporting each other’s journey I watch another heart begin to mend.
Next is a new combination a school master who loves to please, a miss guided leg aid or a grip at the knees.
He offers things unknown to his mum who tries to sit so still.
The eb and flow of movement swinging hips as seat bones softly fill.
A feeling to take home, the skill of feel absorbed,
A happy skip when leaving another level of confidence restored.
The tiny tot for her first session, jumping Onyx to teach poise,
I shall never forget the joy in the room that unmistaken noise.
“I’m sitting on a robot horse, I feel so high up here!”
Jumping down a line of cross poles never showing fear.
A magical moment for us all to share a quietly shed tear.
A para rider next who show such determination,
Opportunities for Flying changes happy squeals but never frustration.
Beginning on the journey after a replacement hip,
Postural corrections and an enlightening tip,
Quietness and deep reflection eyes shut and scanning through, the mind and body connection light bulb moments, who ever knew!
A puzzle to solve for an established rider, changes not always clean,
Improvement in just a moment a tight inside thigh was seen.
So yes we have been with the plastic horse again, his mane and tail once grazed the land.
Call it a gimmick but it beats riding round adding miles in a pile of sand.
Less miles on the clock for your steed less wear and tear on joints.
A skill of moving freely that will your horse’s joints anoint.
The robot horse is magic he makes people dreams come true,
He gives more than you can imagine and courage to ensue,
The things you thought where left behind forgotten as horses can do, are brought to life and witnessed by me & you.
