🌳 Large Poplar Tree Removal | Kings Worthy, Wi******er 🌳

A recent project saw us carrying out the staged removal of several large poplar trees in Kings Worthy.

Following previous storm failures that caused significant property damage and posed a serious risk to public safety, these trees needed careful management. As they were protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), all work was completed with the necessary approvals and alongside a replanting programme to ensure the local tree population continues to thrive. 🌱

Our Merlo Roto, Ufkes chipper, and Valtra tractor made light work of these huge trees, allowing us to complete the job safely and efficiently. 💪

🌳 Yew Tree Canopy Reduction | Central Wi******er 🌳

This impressive Yew tree in central Wi******er was becoming a little too shady for the client’s garden, so we carried out a sympathetic canopy reduction, reducing the height and spread by approximately 1.5 metres.

As the tree is located within a conservation area, we submitted the required notification to Wi******er City Council before work began, ensuring everything was completed in accordance with the relevant regulations.

Using our 22m CMC tracked spider lift, we completed the work safely and efficiently while remaining fully compliant with the Working at Height Regulations. The result is a well-balanced tree that lets in more natural light while retaining its character and long-term health.

Our Valtra T202, fitted with a Botex roof-mounted crane and hook-lift trailer, was on site in Wi******er city centre assisting with the removal of a large Western Red Cedar.

Unfortunately, the tree had simply outgrown its location and, after careful assessment, the decision was made to remove it. With reduction not being a viable long-term management option, removal was the most appropriate course of action.

The crane and trailer setup came into their own, allowing us to safely and efficiently handle the large timber sections and keep the job running smoothly from start to finish.

A great team effort and another challenging dismantle completed safely. 🌲💪

C&D Trees recently tackled a large horse chestnut that had failed due to root decay, bringing part of a wall down with it 🌳

Using an Avant loader and tractor, we safely cleared the fallen stem and removed the heavy timber from site.

The area is now fully cleared and ready for the wall to be rebuilt 💪

Large oak canopy reduction carried out by C&D Trees in Brashfield 🌳

After a limb failure over a busy car park, this tree was carefully reduced in height and spread in line with BS3998 to help lower the risk of future failure while keeping the tree healthy and well-structured.
