🌟 That’s a Wrap for 2025–2026! 🌟

And just like that, Onyx Dance Academy is officially closed for the summer across Liverpool, Wilmslow and Altrincham! ☀️💙

What an incredible year it has been! I can honestly say that 2025–2026 has been one of our best years yet. From outstanding exam results, fantastic competition successes and unforgettable shows, to watching every single dancer grow in confidence, technique and performance, I couldn’t be prouder of everything we’ve achieved together.

This year has been filled with so many special moments, and seeing the progression across all three schools has been truly amazing. Every dancer has worked incredibly hard, and you should all be so proud of yourselves. 💙✨

A huge thank you to all of our amazing dancers and families for your continued support throughout the year. Your commitment, encouragement and belief in Onyx means more than you’ll ever know. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful dance family.

I’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you for all of the beautiful cards, thoughtful gifts, generous vouchers and lovely messages. Your kindness and generosity are so appreciated and never go unnoticed. ❤️

Now it’s time to enjoy a well-deserved summer break, make wonderful memories with your family and friends, and come back refreshed, recharged and ready for another exciting year of dancing.

If your child loves dancing, why not invite a friend along to experience the fun? It’s the perfect opportunity for new dancers to try a class, meet our amazing teachers and make new friends – completely FREE!

These classes are open to children who are new to Onyx, so if your child has a friend who’s always wanted to give dance a go, now’s the perfect chance!

One Week Later… 💙✨

I can’t believe it’s already been a week since our 2026 show!

Over the past few days, I’ve been looking back through all the photos and videos, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder. Seeing every smile, every performance, every backstage moment, and every achievement has reminded me just how special this year’s show really was.

Watching you all grow throughout the year has been incredible. The confidence, technique, teamwork, and determination you’ve shown have been amazing to witness. Every single dancer should be so proud of what they achieved on that stage.

As Principal, moments like these make all the hard work behind the scenes worthwhile. The rehearsals, costume fittings, extra practices, and all the preparation led to something truly unforgettable.

Thank you to our wonderful dancers for giving your all, to our incredible teaching team for their dedication, and to all our amazing parents and families for your continued support throughout the year. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

The 2026 show will always hold a special place in my heart, and looking back at the memories has made me even more excited for everything that’s to come.

My favourite time of the year has to be after the final class and once all the shows are over… sitting down and sharing a meal with our amazing students. ❤️

After months of rehearsals, performances, competitions, laughter, hard work and making unforgettable memories together, it’s so important to take a moment to simply relax, chat and celebrate everything we’ve achieved as a dance family.

These moments away from the studio are just as special as those on the stage. They help strengthen friendships, build confidence and remind us that Onyx is so much more than a dance school – it’s a family. 💙

Thank you to every single student for an incredible year. We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Wow… where do I even begin?

Over the last two days, our Onyx Academy of Dance family has taken to the stage and performed two incredible shows, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you.
Yesterday, you amazed us with your confidence, talent and passion, showing just how much you’ve grown since September. Then today, we stepped into a brand new venue at the Capstone Theatre. For so many of our dancers, it was a completely new experience, with a different stage, new surroundings, and everyone working together throughout rehearsals to make everything run smoothly.
But do you know what? You never let me down.
Every single dancer adapted so well, stayed focused, supported one another, and embraced every challenge with confidence, professionalism, and smiles on your faces. Watching you all perform honestly felt like watching a company of professional performers.
Seeing months of hard work, dedication, rehearsals and determination come together over these two shows has been so emotional. Since September, you’ve worked tirelessly, pushed yourselves, grown in confidence, encouraged one another, and created memories that will last a lifetime. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves because I certainly am.
These two shows also marked the end of a very busy few weeks for me personally, having completed four shows across two different schools. It has been an unforgettable experience, but ending the season with my Onyx family made it even more special.
To all of our wonderful teachers, backstage helpers, volunteers, chaperones, parents, families, and everyone who has supported Onyx Academy of Dance throughout this show season, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We simply couldn’t do it without you.
Now it’s time to enjoy our final few weeks together before we break up for the summer, with lots of fun classes, laughter, and making even more memories.
Thank you all for making our 2026 show season one I’ll never forget. Being your principal is the greatest privilege, and I am so proud of every single one of you.
