🚨 Raiders final outing of the U9s season 🚨

The Raiders travelled to Pine Villa for their final tournament of the season. With a smaller squad due to player unavailability, every single player worked their socks off, playing multiple games back to back during the morning.

The Raiders played some fantastic football throughout the tournament, scoring some brilliant goals along the way. In the knockout stages, they kept their composure to win on penalties in the Quarter final and book their place in the semi-finals, where they achieved what England couldn't earlier in the week by coming out on top after another fantastic game of football.

In the final, the Raiders battled from the first whistle to the last, playing some excellent football and creating plenty of chances. Unfortunately, they just fell short in another penalty shootout that saw some great saves from both keepers.

It was a fantastic way to end what has been a brilliant season for the Raiders and we're already looking forward to the new challenge of U10s.

What a fantastic day we had on Saturday at our annual Presentation Day, held at Kildare Street!🔴⚫️

It was brilliant to see so many of our players, coaches, volunteers and families come together to celebrate another successful season. The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves while recognising the hard work and achievements of our junior section.

A huge well done to every single player for their efforts and commitment throughout the season. Congratulations also to all of our individual award winners, your dedication and performances have been outstanding and you should all be very proud.

A massive thank you goes to all of our coaches for the time, effort and commitment you have given throughout the season. The work you do to help every young player develop both on and off the pitch never goes unnoticed and we truly appreciate everything you do.

We'd also like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make the day such a success. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without your support and hard work.

We rounded off a brilliant day by watching England book their place in the semi-finals on the big screen, which was enjoyed by so many of our families 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏆

🚨Valkyries vs Raiders Match Report🚨

What a way to end the season! An end to end game between two teams who have improved massively throughout the year.

The ball seemed to hit everything at both ends of the pitch from the crossbar, the posts to the back of the net! After a fiercely contested first half, the teams went into the break deadlocked with nothing to separate them.

Raiders struck first with a brilliant finish from outside the box by Jaxon. Valkyries responded soon after when Jesse stayed patient at the back post to calmly slot home the equaliser.

With the game level for much of the second half, it took a moment of magic to settle it. Jesse produced a fantastic strike from just inside the Raiders half to give Valkyries the lead in spectacular fashion.

A huge shoutout to both goalkeepers, Jenson and Theo, who pulled off some outstanding saves and kept their teams in the game throughout.

It was a fantastic battle from start to finish, with both teams giving absolutely everything in their final game of the season.

It was also great to see two Hindley Town teams go head to head, playing the game in brilliant spirit before coming together at the final whistle to celebrate the end of a fantastic 2025/26 season.

Awards 🏆

🏆 Valkyries Player of the Match was awarded to the entire team. Every single player gave 100%, worked tirelessly for one another, and produced a fantastic team performance from start to finish.

🏆 Raiders Player of the Match went to Lewis, who continued his excellent form with another outstanding performance at the back. Solid, composed, and reliable throughout.

🏆 Raiders Parents Player of the Match was awarded to Theo, who saved one of his best performances of the season for the final game. He pulled off a string of fantastic saves and was outstanding between the posts. A brilliant way to finish the season!

This year’s tournament had it all, fantastic goals, great teamwork, and plenty of smiles all round.The knockout stages certainly didn’t disappoint, producing some brilliant matches and more than a few penalty shootouts, with one even going all the way to sudden death!

We’d like to thank everyone who supported our 3rd Annual Summer Tournament and helped make it another huge success. It was fantastic to welcome Bethesda Tigers, who made the journey from Wales to take part. 👏🏻

A special mention also goes to our referees, who did a fantastic job throughout the day. 👏🏻

It’s not our usual matchday this weekend at Hindley Town Football Club!

We’re delighted to welcome 24 Under-9 teams for our annual Summer Tournament, with the action kicking off at 9:00am.

Come down and enjoy a fantastic morning of grassroots football, with some brilliant young talent on display throughout the day.

🍔 Food & Refreshments Available, our on-site cafe will be open, serving a range of hot food including:
• Sausage and bacon barms
• Hot dogs
• Burgers

🍫🍬Our tuck shop will also be stocked with:
Cold drinks
• Sweets
• Chocolate
• Cold drinks
• Ice pops to help keep everyone cool

🚗 Parking is available on-site for £2 per vehicle, so please bring some change with you.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic day of football and community spirit, and we’d love to see plenty of support from around the club.

🚨DYNAMITES MATCH REPORT🚨

Dynamites welcomed Atherton Town Comets to Kildare Street for Saturdays game. Coaches Hannah and Trish knew it would be a tough battle, but they had every faith in the team to give their all.

Hudson - Captaining the team today, Hudson got us off to a great start by winning the all-important rock, paper, scissors! He made some excellent tackles to win possession back and get us on the attack. Hudson also showed growing confidence by making some strong runs up the pitch. His attitude such a breath of fresh air as he is always wanting to go back on the pitch to gekp out his teammates.

Dayton - Dayton gave his usual 100% from the first whistle to the last. He came up against some tough and physical opponents but never let it faze him. He was an absolute workhorse, covering every blade of grass and contributing all over the pitch. His hard work was rewarded with some fantastic goals, and once again his left foot earned praise from the opposition coaches.

George- George was raring to go from the moment he stepped onto the pitch. He chased down every loose ball and never gave up when battling to win possession back. He also put in a fantastic shift in defence, where nothing seemed to get past him. His determination and work rate were outstanding.

Blaine - Blaine was his usual dependable self in defence, clearing away any danger that came near our goal. He collected the ball well from the back following goal kicks and helped launch attacks for the Dynamites. Unfortunately, he took a ball to the face from a kick-in, but it was brave defending that prevented the ball from getting anywhere near our goal. He quickly got back to his feet and battled on for the remainder of the match.

Josh - A fantastic game from our little pocket rocket. Josh spent the first half in defence, where he cleared away dangerous balls and produced some booming kicks to get us up the field. In the second half, he moved further forward and helped drive attacks down the wings with some excellent dribbling. He faced some physical battles but, like his teammates, never let it faze him and gave as good as he got.

Casper - Casper stood strong between the sticks in the first half and made some excellent saves throughout. The standout moment came when he dived brilliantly towards his post and managed to get a hand to the ball, pushing it around the outside of the goal. In the second half, Casper moved outfield and made some powerful, confident runs that helped get the team on the attack.

Jake - Jake had a strong first half outfield performance. He stayed disciplined when marking players and worked hard to stop opponents from getting away. Taking over the goalkeeper's gloves in the second half, Jake commanded his area brilliantly. He communicated well, called for the ball, and constantly encouraged his teammates — something we've been working on in recent weeks.

Overall it was a tough battle for the Dynamites, but that never deterred them. The teamwork, determination, and encouragement they showed each other throughout the match were fantastic to see. Even when things got difficult, the boys kept battling and supporting one another. If they continue to work hard in training and take what we learn into matches, they will continue to go from strength to strength.

🚨RAIDERS MATCH REPORT🚨

Raiders welcomed Leigh Genesis to Kildare Street on Saturday. Although unfamiliar opponent, the coaches expected a tough test and one they knew the Raiders were ready for.

Theo in goal produced one of his best performances in recent weeks. He pulled off some excellent saves to keep his side in the game and encouraged the team to get going with some big kicks downfield.

Lewis was rock solid in defence, tackling anything in blue and clearing the ball downfield all morning. His last-ditch defending got us out of trouble on a couple of occasions.

Harley was his usual reliable self at the back, making his presence felt with strong challenges and big clearances downfield.

Kaiden, playing on the left and fresh from a two minute warm up after a misplaced car key 🙈, didn't let that faze him. He got straight down to business on the wing, linking up brilliantly with his teammates, especially in the second half. He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, striking the crossbar after a great move.

Kian, in centre midfield, once again showed how well his switch in position has suited him. He produced another excellent performance, winning tackles all over the pitch before picking out killer passes with his superb vision.

James played in a couple of different positions today and worked hard in both. His strong tackling sets the tone for the team and gives others an example to follow. It was also great to see him looking for the early pass whenever it was on.

Harry was phenomenal up front. He pressed tirelessly, held the ball up well and linked play brilliantly with his teammates. Without his work rate in the first half, we could have found ourselves under real pressure. He got the reward his performance deserved, scoring two excellent goals through sheer hard work and determination.

Aidan, the first game changer of the morning made an instant impact on the wing. He kept things simple, linked up well with his teammates and helped drive the team forward. On a couple of occasions he confidently took on and beat the goalkeeper, only to be denied by some last ditch defending. His persistence paid off when he got himself on the scoresheet with a well taken goal.

Thomas another game changer came on out wide and worked hard both going forward and tracking back to help his team.

Roman the final game changer of the morning slotted into defence and made several important interceptions to cut out dangerous attacks.

Overall, it was a fantastic team performance full of hard work, determination and quality football. Every player played their part and should be proud of their efforts. The Raiders will take the confidence from this game into the Hindley Town Summer Tournament next Saturday 🏆
