🏆 From Softball to Hardball Development League Champions! 🏆

What a season for Whitstable WCC !

In their very first hardball season, this group have made the step up from softball cricket and ended it as Kent Women Development Central Hardball League Champions. 💚💛

These league ranking stats tell the story of a team growing and competing, with several players also featuring in the Top 20 season rankings across the whole of Whitstable Cricket Club.

The journey from softball festivals to winning a hardball development league in just 3 years is a testament to the commitment, determination and hard work shown by every player throughout the season. The growth we’ve seen has been remarkable.

Congratulations and thanks go to all our players, our coaches and supporters who have been part of this fantastic journey.

🏆💚💛 CHAMPIONS. FINALISTS. RUNNERS-UP. 💛💚🏆

What a season for Whitstable Women.

After dominating the Kent Women’s East Softball Bash, Whitstable WCC secured the league title on net run rate and earned their place at Kent Finals Day last weekend, reaching the final and finishing as Kent Runners-Up. An outstanding achievement given this was only our second season in the Bash !

Every run scored put pressure on the opposition. Every wicket created momentum and every catch and piece of sharp fielding turned games in our favour. Throughout the campaign, this team consistently delivered when it mattered most, earning the right to call themselves champions.

But, while individual excellence deserves recognition, this success was built on something even stronger: teamwork.

Championship-winning teams are not created by a handful of standout performances. They are built through partnerships, support, trust and a collective determination to compete for one another. Behind every player in these divisional stats was a team creating opportunities, celebrating successes and fighting for every run and wicket together.

To win the league and then reach the final on Kent Finals Day is a fantastic achievement. To do it while playing exciting, competitive cricket and representing Whitstable with pride makes it even more special.

The season may be over, but this squad has shown exactly what it is capable of. The standard has been set, the bar has been raised and there is every reason to believe there is even more to come.

💚🧡 WHAT A SEASON ! 🧡💚

Congratulations go to our Whitstable WCC players who rep’d us for the games in the KWSCL East North Division this season. Stats below for the season show where our players ranked in the division for batting, bowling and fielding.

For a squad that includes players picking up a bat for the very first time this season, these achievements are incredible. Every run, wicket and catch helped the team finish second in the league and come agonisingly close to qualifying for finals day.

These stats belong to the whole team, as behind each individual was the support, encouragement and hard work of all those involved in women’s cricket at Whitstable.

These players show that the future is bright, talent is growing and we’re still only in our third season ! With our Winter training starting in November these players will be looking to move into playing in the softball bash next season 💪

🏏 Softball Bash Finals Day - what a day for !

The ladies kicked off finals day with a victory against , setting up a final against .

After giving everything throughout the day the team finished as County Runners Up. While the trophy won’t be coming back to the Belmont this year the women’s squad won where it really matters the most, with frienship, teamwork, laughter and memories that will last longer than the celebratory headaches.

A huge congratulations to every member of the squad who contributed to getting a team into the finals day, plus to all involved in any way with for supporting us behind the scenes.

Finally, our congratulations to Linton Park on winning the trophy 👏

TEAM NEWS IS IN !!!

The Women’s 11 for tomorrow’s two games at is now locked in.

The ladies go up against at 10.30 and dependant on the result of that game will play either a 3/4th play off m, or the final at 2.30pm.

💚💛 support is always welcomed. Go well ladies and bring that 🏆 back to the Belmont.

If you are looking for a fun way to spend your Sunday then Whitstable WCC would love your support this weekend..
We’re at our very first Kent Cricket Foundation finals day and would appreciate all boundary cheers from 💚 and 💛 fans.
We will play Kemsing Cricket Club first up at 10.30am and then in either a 3/4th play off or a final at 2.30.
Let’s hope we can finish this season in style and bring a trophy back to the Belmont 🤞

Whitstable WCC are beyond proud to have won the Kent Cricket Softball Bash League (East Division) and we have secured our place at the Finals Day at Mote Park this weekend !

We’d love it if we had your support on the day, every cheer will help our ladies as we battle to bring the trophy back to the Belmont 🏆

It’s time for one final push, one more time 💪

Head along to Mote Park (ME15 7RN) this Sunday 13th September, we’d love your support 🫶

We’re told pizza will be available aswell - as if you needed any other excuse to come 😂

This weekend the Ladies played a Softball cricket friendly bash on yet another sunny Sunday away at the Mote ☀️🏏

We won the toss and elected to bowl.
The challenge was to attack in the field and get the ball into the keeper.
What’s that? 5 run outs from different fielders… yes please!! 🙌

It was also great to have 9 different bowlers taking the ball and giving it their all. The lovely loopy stuff from Missiles (0-8) and Libby (2-8) were just some of the bowling highlights.

The Mote posted 122 from their 20 overs and we set about the chase facing an extensive leg-side field! The opening partnership from El (18) and Ali (10) was great to watch, with a variety of shots being played around the ground getting us off to a strong start ahead of the required run rate. Tight bowling slowed the run rate but we worked hard to keep running the ones and twos. After the drinks break with a mission to run hard, a wkt fell before Anna (23) and Claire (22 no) took us to the final over needing 9 to win.
It wasn’t quite to be with final over wkts and we fell 2 runs short but what an effort from you all.

Huge thanks to Trev for umpiring and Lucy for scoring, as well as Hannah and Sue S for doing the scoreboard.
