A close game at Kiln Park this afternoon, ultimately separated by a well-taken goal in the second half.

There were plenty of positives for the Hunters, who held their own against Step 5 opposition and remained competitive throughout.

Another encouraging performance to take forward as the group continues to build. 🔴⚫️

We wish Potton United all the very best for the remainder of the season and in the next round of the Gladwish Challenge Trophy. 🤝

Huntingdon Town FC are recruiting a committed and ambitious manager to lead our UCL Reserve Division side.

This is more than simply managing a team.

It is an opportunity to work within a genuine player-development pathway, preparing players to progress towards our First Team competing at Step 6 of the National League System.

You’ll have:

⚽ UCL Reserve Division football
💡 90 minutes weekly 3G training
🏟️ Stadium pitches for matches
🎥 VEO recording of matches
👕 Matchday kit
🍽️ Post-match food

Our Man of the Match goes to Luke Ricardson-Parry after an excellent individual performance. 👏🔥

Luke showed quality, determination and a huge work rate throughout as the Hunters produced another encouraging performance, with the game ultimately separated by a single penalty.

🗣️ Luke’s reaction:

“A game with mixed emotions, a good performance overall and felt we deserved to get something from the game. Lots of positives and improvements against a good opposition. Unfortunately a penalty was the difference.

We created good opportunities and worked really hard as a team showing good determination from the start to finish.

We will take the positives from the game, continue to build and the wins will come.”

🦁 FULL TIME | IRCHESTER UNITED 1–0 HUNTINGDON TOWN

An excellent performance from the Hunters under the lights at Alfred Street.

It was a close and competitive game with opportunities for both sides, ultimately decided by a single second-half penalty.

There was plenty to take from the performance.

🛡️ An excellent defensive display
💪 A committed performance throughout the team
⬆️ Particularly encouraging to see so many of our Reserve Team players stepping up and challenging for regular First Team football

The result wasn’t ours tonight, but the Hunters leave with pride in the performance and plenty of positives to build on.

That win is getting closer.

Now we regroup and turn our attention to Saturday, when we return home to Kiln Park to face Potton United in the Cup. 🏆
