Monkey see, monkey do
We can tell our kids to be active, challenge themselves and look after their health…
Or we can let them grow up watching us do it.
Our next intake is August 31st - DM me the word ‘INTAKE’ for more info 💪

Here’s what summer has taught me 👇👇
Nutrition and Sleep is absolute priority when trying to perform at an optimal level
Training performance
Competition performance
Even just performing in life
If you’re not sleeping well, and not fuelling correctly then you make everything harder.
I’ve had a summer where I’ve been out of routine, sleep has been up and down, nutrition has been flaky.
Yet I’ve done more exercising and more competition than ever before.
This has just led to every weekend being a reach to try and recover. Leading into an even worse performance the next week.
So my priority from here on in is to nail these two things, sleep then nutrition.
That’s 90% of your performance, how you show up in the gym, how you show up to races, and your commitment to eating correctly each day.

I find it very hard to voice my opinion on social media when it comes to health & fitness.
The reason being, what works for me won’t necessarily work for you.
You might not enjoy it. It might not suit your lifestyle. And therefore, you might not find success with it.
Yet too often, I see coaches online telling people they SHOULD eat a certain way, NEED to train a certain way and SHOULD look a certain way.
Why?
It might work for you, but who’s to say that’s what I want?
My focus for my own health & fitness is simple:
Lift heavy.
Run plenty.
Eat plenty.
And enjoy what I do.
I want my body to be functional.
I want to run fast.
Swim fast.
Jump high.
And be ready for whatever else life challenges me with.
So why should someone online tell me exactly how I should eat or train?
Fitness is personal.
Don’t let the opinions of people online dictate what you can and can’t do.
I Look at fitness like a toolbox.
Running is a tool.
Lifting is a tool.
Swimming is a tool.
Different ways of eating are tools.
They all produce different outcomes.
The important thing is choosing the right tools for you, your goals and the life you actually want to live.
Because enjoyment matters.
Find something that works. Find something you enjoy.
That’s what keeps you in the game long enough to actually see what you’re capable of.
