British Minors Championships 2026

Hello Coaches,

I would like to invite your female judoka to our Girls & Women’s Only Judo Festival and Beginner Competition in East London

📅 Date: Sunday 16th August
🕘 Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm
📍 Venue: Legion, E10 7QF

This event is aimed primarily at beginners and less experienced competitors, providing a fun, friendly, and supportive environment to gain competition experience.

🥋 Girls and women only – no male participants will be permitted.
🏅 Every participant will receive a medal.

We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with your club members. Further details and entry information will follow. Message me if you would like a comp form (will be on the British judo website soon).

After a pre clean of the Tatami, the veterans men and open women’s grading was conducted today at Stratford, apologies for the lack of photo to the 5 females who finished before the 9 men kyu grade and the 11 mixed men Dan grades concluded
Note to self take the photos at the start of the day
Well done to those who accumulated enough points for their Dan grades and to the 3 kyu grade line ups with one being successful in completing his line
Well done to all whom attended, from as far away as Rochdale and the Isle of Man

Next veterans men grading is September where we will once again run an open age female grading

London Area Training session on Sunday 14th June at The Budokwai London from 2-4pm hosted by Nekoda Smythe-Davis.

FAO any heavyweight female judoka planning to attend the female 1st kyu and above grading this Sunday, please let us know if you are planning to attend but have not let us know, we have female players 120kg+ that would like to attend but as it stands we have no other players booked in that are near that weight to facilitate at this moment, so please let us know asap if you plan on attending
