Tonight after training we had a match against another u9’s PVC team.
The lads did really well and bagged themselves a couple of nicely put together goals! Plenty of excellent things from our lads to work on going into the league starting next Sunday.

Musa tried out a new position on the wing tonight and did really well. He also made some important blocks, tackles and clearances when in defence. Musas confidence seems to be improving each week. Well done Musa 👏

Our little pocket rocket Ronnie didn’t back down from any challenge tonight. He took his goal beautifully and deserved both the goal and MOTM with all the work he put in. Again Ronnie is improving week on week!

First tournament for the lads ticked off!
We knew it was going to be tough with the teams we had in our group but the boys didn’t let that stop them. They all made their tackles, made their runs and passes, they didn’t let the other teams walk all over them!!
Plenty to build on for the league starting soon and they all did themselves proud.

From only playing 2 friendlies as a team before now to competing with some of the best teams in the area they all took it in their stride. Every single player on that pitch today dug deep. Well done Vikings 👏

Parents man of the match - Carter.
Our keeper Carter had a tough job today but he didn’t give up for a single second. He made some unbelievable saves and got back up time and time again. Well done Carter!!!

We did lots of drills on guarding and defending the ball tonight ahead of our tournament on Sunday and Blake got stuck in. He traveled with the ball well and put in some cracking tackles. He tracked his man back during the game.

Another friendly tonight and another win ✅
Every lad gave it everything tonight and showed again everything they’ve been learning in training. All fought hard for the ball, made some lovely passes, worked together as a team and came away with 6 goals.

Managers man of the match - Ronnie
This was Ronnies first ever match and he didn’t give up on the ball, he battled hard in all his duels and got himself a goal, smashed it! Well done Ronnie.

Parents man of the match - Arthur and Blake
Blake was unbelievable on the right wing again. Blake beat his man tonight to every ball and continuously got the ball into the box. He tracked back, kept his positioning and got himself 2 goals. Well done Blake.
Arthur played on the left wing, he drove the ball forward and beat the player. He provided balls into the box and took quick kick ins scoring to get his hattrick. Well done Arthur.

Tonight we concentrated on passing and receiving, Musa took his first touch well and played it back to his teammates. We then went into a 1v1 attacking and defended scenario, Musa stood his man up and beat his man moving forward.

First ever match for the Vikings and they absolutely smashed it! All battled hard, remembered what they’d learnt in training over the last few months. All of them got stuck in tonight and did what they needed to do.
So proud of them all.

Albie was solid in defence, playing the ball out from the back, feeding his teammates the ball. He took a turn on the wing, took a fast kick in and got it in the back of the net.

Parents man of the match - Blake
Blake didn’t stop running up and down the wing tonight. He never gave up, creating chances for his teammates and come away with a well deserved goal.

Arthur pushed himself in tonight’s drills, working hard to keep the ball under control, pass and move. He then took what he learnt in training and put it into practice during the game, helping to put his team in front multiple times.

Albie put in a strong performance in tonight match, staying composed in defence, putting in tackles.
