Another PB. Another milestone. Another reminder of just how strong you can become when you keep showing up.
205kg hip thrust. 💪🏼
The strength gains don’t happen overnight — they’re built rep by rep, week after week.
And this is why we train. ❤️
So proud of this one! 👏🏼

"I haven't exercised for a long time. I don't know if I can do this."
I hear this so often.
And that's exactly why Nicola's review means so much to me.
She came into her first 4-week block after a long time without exercising, and the biggest thing wasn't how much weight she lifted.
It was the confidence she built along the way.
Her energy improved.
Her strength improved.
And most importantly, she started believing "I can do this."
You don't need to be fit before you start strength training.
You don't need to know what you're doing.
And you definitely don't need to wait until you feel confident.
The confidence comes from starting.
Thank you, Nicola, for trusting me and for sharing your experience. 💪🏼
If you've been thinking about starting but keep telling yourself "I'm not fit enough" — this is your sign.

Over 60 and still getting stronger. 💪
This is why I want more women to understand the value of resistance training as we age.
It's not about lifting the heaviest weight in the gym.
It's about building the strength you need for everyday life.
Pulling.
Lifting.
Carrying.
Reaching.
Getting up.
Staying active.
And there's something incredibly empowering about realising that your body is still capable of getting stronger.
Age isn't a reason to stop challenging yourself.
It's one of the best reasons to start.
I work with women across their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, including complete beginners.
You don't need to be fit before you start.
The training helps you become stronger.

One of my favourite runs at St Mary’s this morning.
There’s something about running by the coast that just resets me.
No pressure.
No distractions.
Just miles, fresh air and a bit of time to myself.
I'm currently building towards my 50K fell run, so every run has a purpose — but I still want to enjoy the journey.
Because that's the thing about fitness...
It should add to your life, not take over it.
Find movement you genuinely enjoy, keep challenging yourself and you'll be far more likely to keep doing it.
Off work this week, so we took the kids rock climbing.
And they absolutely smashed it.
Huge heights, climbing all the way to the top and showing absolutely no fear!
I love finding ways to keep my kids active that don't feel like "we're exercising."
Climbing, swimming, walking, playing, exploring...
It's a movement, but more importantly, it's fun.
And that's something I want my kids to carry with them as they grow up — seeing movement as something they enjoy, not something they have to force themselves to do.
As a fitness coach, I spend a lot of time talking to women about building strength and staying active as they age.
But it starts much earlier.
Give kids opportunities to move.
Let them climb.
Let them play.
Let them challenge themselves.
Build the relationship with movement now, and hopefully they'll carry it for life.
And clearly mine have inherited the "let's see how high we can get" gene. 😂
Bands or no bands? It doesn't matter.
What matters is building the strength to get there.
A band-assisted chin-up is still strength training.
We're using the band to provide assistance while she develops the strength, control and confidence needed to progress.
Eventually, the aim might be less assistance.
Then less again.
And maybe one day… no band at all.
But there's absolutely no rush.
You don't need to start with the hardest version of an exercise.
You need the version that's right for you today, then progressively challenge your body.
That's how strength is built.
And that's how you go from "I could never do that" to "Look what I can do!" 🙌
Bands or no bands — the win is getting stronger.

200kg PB. 💪But honestly, my PB isn't the best part of this video.
Watching two of my clients hit the same 200kg and each and every client hitting new PBs is magical.
That's what coaching is about.
Not just telling someone what exercises to do, but giving them the confidence to discover what they're actually capable of.
I challenge my clients, but I also meet them where they are and progress them from there.
And there's nothing better than seeing that moment when they realise:
"Bloody hell... I actually did that!" 😂
Strength isn't about comparing yourself to anyone else.
It's about finding your starting point and seeing what you can build from there.
Imagine what you could achieve with the right coaching and four weeks of consistency.
DM "WAITLIST" to find out about my next programme STARTING 31ST AUGUST
"Back of the net boys" 🤣 get in wor Viv!
This is why I do what I do. One of my incredible clients, age 60, hip thrusted 90 kilos for the first time. But what made it really special was she was surrounded by women cheering her on, proving strength isn't about age. It's about belief and support.
Join our next strength program starting 31st August
