Exercise like baby is watching 👶

Every squat, every step and every moment you make time for yourself shows them that looking after your health matters too!

Growing up watching a mum who prioritises her health, happiness and wellbeing teaches children that being active and looking after themselves is a normal, and important, part of everyday life. 💜

☀️ Hot Weather, Happy Mums & Safe Workouts 💪👶

With heat warnings in place this week and temperatures set to stay high, we wanted to reassure everyone attending our classes that your safety and your little one's comfort always come first

Whether you're joining us for Circuits, HIIT, Kettlebells, Walk & Talk, Mum & Baby classes or Pregnancy classes, we'll be adapting sessions where needed and encouraging plenty of water breaks.

For tomorrow's Circuits class, we'll have a sun shade set up for babies and little ones ⛱️ so they have a cool, shaded space while you exercise.

A few things we'd recommend bringing this week:

💧 Plenty of water for you and your child
🧢 Sun hats and cool, comfortable clothing
🧴 Sunscreen (where age appropriate)
🍎 Snacks for little ones
🧸 Toys, blankets or a play mat for babies
🌬️ A portable fan if you have one

Most importantly:

✅ Listen to your body
✅ Take breaks whenever you need them
✅ Work at a pace that feels right for you
✅ Stay hydrated before, during and after class
✅ Let your trainer know if you're feeling too hot or uncomfortable

And please don't feel pressured to:

❌ Work harder because everyone else is
❌ Complete every exercise
❌ Push through if you're feeling tired or overheated

Remember, exercise doesn't have to be all-or-nothing. Sometimes a slower workout, extra rest breaks or simply getting out for some fresh air and seeing other mums is a win 🙌

We'll continue to monitor conditions throughout the week and make any adjustments needed to keep classes safe, enjoyable and supportive for everyone.

Stay cool, stay hydrated and be kind to yourself this week 💜☀️

💜 MAMAFIT CHAMPION: Lauren's Story

After welcoming her third baby, Elise, Lauren knew she wanted to prioritise her physical and mental wellbeing.

While looking for activities she could enjoy with her baby, she discovered Mamafit's 6-week Lifestyle Course.

What started as a way to become more active soon became much more...

Through classes including circuits, kettlebells, HIIT and mum-and-baby sessions, Lauren found a supportive community, built her confidence and developed healthier habits that fit around family life.

Lauren says:

"It's not just about exercise, it's about community, support, and doing something positive for yourself."

Being able to bring her baby along made exercise feel achievable, while the friendships she built with other mums became just as valuable as the workouts themselves.

Today, Lauren feels stronger, more confident and more energised, and she's proud of the positive changes she's made for herself and her family.

Thank you, Lauren, for sharing your journey and being such a valued part of the Mamafit community 🤗

What has Mamafit given you? We'd love to hear your story in the comments 👇

💙 Men's Health Week 2026 💙

Being a dad is one of the most rewarding things in my life.

It's also one of the many reasons we launched the Being Dad project.

Over the last few months we've been listening to local fathers about their experiences of parenthood, health and wellbeing.

What we've learned is that dads care deeply about their children, but many are struggling to find time for themselves.

📊 51% reported a decline in physical health since becoming a dad.
📊 31% reported a decline in mental wellbeing.
📊 Nearly half said they would attend activities specifically for dads, while many more said they would be interested if the right opportunities existed.

The good news?

Dads aren't asking for complicated solutions.

They're asking for opportunities to connect, be active, spend time with their children and meet other dads who understand the challenges of family life.

Over the coming weeks we'll be sharing more of the findings and inviting dads to help shape what happens next through conversations, focus groups and pilot activities.

💬 If you're a dad (or dad-to-be) and would like to find out more, drop a comment below or send us a DM.
