Just one of the great events we have delivered this summer at Whoosh Explore

What a brilliant evening on the river! 🚣🌅
Last week a group of us from Round Table teamed up with the fantastic team at Woosh Kayaking Club in Sawbridgeworthfor an evening paddle along the river. It was the perfect mix of good company, fresh air and a few laughs… although it wasn’t all just about the kayaking!
Along the way we stopped to help remove Himalayan Balsam, an invasive plant that spreads incredibly quickly along riverbanks. Although it looks pretty, it crowds out our native wildflowers and, when it dies back each winter, leaves the riverbanks exposed which can lead to erosion. Pulling it up before it seeds is a simple job that can make a real difference to our local environment.
A huge thank you to Woosh for organising such a great evening and for everything they do to look after our rivers.
This is exactly what Round Table is all about – trying new things, meeting great people and giving something back to the local community.
