We've got a couple of spaces available on our Open Silver DofE Expedition in the Peak District, running 10–12 August 2026.

Whether you need a practice or qualifying expedition, this is a great opportunity to join a team and complete your Silver DofE.

Those dedicated few who avidly follow our occasional posts may remember that back in March 2025 we asked for advice on how to organise our map collection — by number, usage, or geography.

In the end, we went with Tonus Boomer 's suggestion on Facebook: number order, with a wall poster showing which map you need. 🗺️ We also took on board Phill Monk’s advice and added labels.

We put the system in place last year and have just updated it again after our 2026 map audit — as the collection shifts around a bit as numbers wax and wane!
