PBs at the Torbay Twilight 10K! 🌙🏃‍♂️💛❤️

A fantastic evening for two of our TAC runners at last night’s Torbay Twilight 10K at Torbay Velopark.

👏 Simon Dossett — 49th place in 42:13
👏 Pete Henderson — 52nd place in 42:38

And the best bit… PBs for both! 🔥🙌

It’s certainly been a busy weekend for our athletes, with parkruns, 10Ks, half marathons… and our amazing Hayley taking on outeredge_events Dartmoor Crossing! 💛❤️

A stunning 33.5-mile run on a beautifully marked course from Belstone to Ivybridge, featuring breathtaking views, friendly marshals and runners, and well-stocked food stops. It all added up to a fantastic day on the moor, and Hayley loved every minute of it.

She completed the course in an impressive 7:37:00, finishing as 2nd V55 and 23rd female overall.

Now her ultra appetite has been whetted, we can’t wait to see what challenge she takes on next! 🏃‍♀️⛰️

Six of our adult runners were out in force at the Totnes 10k on Sunday, proudly pulling on the yellow and red. 💛❤️

A brilliant effort from all six in very hot conditions, tackling the 10k (actually nearly 11k!) course and enjoying another great day of running, racing and club camaraderie. 👏🏼

It’s always great to see the TAC vest out there and our members supporting each other both on and off the course.

Country lanes, trail sections, rolling hills… and a sun that clearly hadn’t read the race briefing. 🥵

TAC runner, Nick Robinson crossed the line of the Indian Queens Half Marathon in 1:54:39 (236th of 605). Not the time he’d hoped for, but in the heat, it was a victory simply for not melting into a puddle somewhere around mile 8!

Some days it’s about chasing a PB. Other days it’s about surviving, smiling (eventually), and earning that medal 🎖️ 😅

Well done Nick, perhaps an ice bath recovery? 🤔💛

Seven TAC adult athletes took part in Winding Path’s Summer Canal Canter today. The route heads along the picturesque Grand Western Canal, before turning and heading back to the finish at the Canal Basin. Runners were rewarded with a fabulous medal to commemorate a great (albeit hot) run 😎💛❤️

🏅 Medal Monday! 🏅

Two TAC athletes took on the Otter Rail & River 10K this weekend, with Gemma and Kevin tackling the beautiful course from Tipton St John through scenic trails and woodland surrounding the village. 🌿

With soaring temperatures, the hose pipes, extra water stations and sponge buckets were very welcome and much appreciated by everyone out on the course! ☀️💦

A fantastic event, superbly organised by Tipton St John Playing Field Association in conjunction with Sidmouth Running Club.
