☀️ What a fantastic day at Cary Park Tennis Club yesterday! 🎾

Yesterday’s event was the club’s Open Day, and a special celebration of 25 years of junior tennis at Cary Park – a fantastic milestone recognising the incredible journey of junior tennis at the club.

We were treated to glorious sunshine, and it was wonderful to see so many people at the club enjoying a great afternoon of tennis. We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor, whose attendance made the occasion even more special.

The exhibition match certainly didn’t disappoint, going all the way to a thrilling third set and keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. 👏

Our junior coaching showcase was a real highlight of the day, with the children putting on an outstanding display in front of a fantastic crowd. They should all be incredibly proud of themselves.

The ball machine challenge was a huge hit with players of all ages, and the fun doubles tournament was the perfect way to round off a brilliant day, with plenty of smiles, laughter and great tennis.

A very special thank you goes to our dedicated committee members and the many volunteers who gave up so much of their time in the weeks leading up to the event and worked tirelessly throughout the day. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without your hard work, commitment and enthusiasm, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you did.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along, whether you played, watched or supported the club. Seeing so many members, families, friends and visitors enjoying the day together is what makes this club so special ☀️🎾

Another huge weekend on court for our players 🎾🔥

🏆 Billie was outstanding at the U8 Red Ball Whirlwind at Willand Tennis Club, winning the event and taking victory in all 5 matches - brilliant effort from start to finish!

🏆 Charlie Prynn continued his incredible form with a double success:
🥇 U18 Grade 4 Champion at Nuffield
🥇 Men’s Grade 4 Champion at Exeter University

👏 Haldon produced some fantastic tennis in Cheddar U14 Grade 4, finishing Runner-Up after some excellent performances all weekend. Even more impressive was the intensity and attitude shown on court throughout 💪

🎾 Cerys Stubbs & Hugo Yee both competed in the highly competitive U9 South & South West Tour at South Devon Tennis Centre, gaining some fantastic experience against some of the region’s strongest young players 👏

🏆 A special mention as well to Hugo Benzin, who picked up the South West Tour Grade 4 title at Ivybridge - a brilliant achievement!

So much hard work paying off right now - proud of all the players representing BBC so well 👏

What a brilliant day of tennis yesterday! 🎾☀️

The weather was on our side, we had a fantastic turnout with lots of players taking part, and it was great to welcome some new faces along too.

Yesterday’s session focused on serving and returning, with everyone working hard on improving their technique while having plenty of fun at the same time. The energy and enthusiasm on court was great to see from start to finish!

A huge well done to all the players for their effort, attitude and willingness to learn 👏 We’re already looking forward to the next one!

What a great Orange Event yesterday! 🎾

There was some fantastic tennis on display throughout the day, along with excellent sportsmanship from all the players. It was brilliant to see so many competitive matches played in such a positive and supportive atmosphere.

We finished with a fun doubles session, which was a great way to round off the event and brought plenty of smiles along the way.

A big thank you to everyone who played, supported, and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to seeing you all back at Cary Park Tennis Club soon! 👏🎾

Brilliant day for these 4 at the ARC Summer Open today! 🎾👏

Billie and Woody both played four matches each to battle their way through to the boys’ and girls’ red ball finals, showing real determination, effort, and resilience throughout the day.

In the end, they both came away with well-deserved runners-up medals 🥈

Well done as well to Hugo and Cerys for some great battles in the orange ball singles and doubles events. Cerys gained some fantastic experience throughout the day, while Hugo finished with a brilliant doubles win 👏

A great tournament that was really well run from start to finish.

Really proud of how they all played, the effort they put in, and the way they kept going all day long. A brilliant day of competition and experience for everyone involved 👏

We recently held our Whirlwind Mini Red Tennis event in very hot conditions ☀️🎾

It was great to see players from all over Devon come together for the event. All of the children showed fantastic effort and determination, each playing 5 matches throughout the day.

We finished with a fun game together and every player fully deserved the certificate they received at the end.

Well done to everyone for their great attitude, sportsmanship and energy all day 👏🏆

Great day of tennis yesterday in the U12 National Club League as Cary Park Tennis Club took on Victoria Park in some seriously hot conditions ☀️🎾

Both teams competed brilliantly throughout, with great attitudes, sportsmanship, and effort on display in every match.

Cary Park came away with the win, but most importantly it was a fantastic afternoon of tennis and a great experience for all the players involved 👏
