This tournament is open to all ages and playing levels and is a great way to start the new table tennis season!

Come along, test your level and enjoy some competitive matches !!!

🏓 TOURNAMENT FORMAT🏓

Depending on the number of players, the tournament organiser will create a format that allows everyone to play plenty of matches.

Players will compete in groups, with the opportunity to progress to a knockout stage if numbers allow.

Trophies and prizes are prepared and will be awarded at the end of the tournament🏆

In Memory of David Crowley

1947–2026

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our much-loved club member, player and friend, David Crowley.

David was a true and loyal member of our table tennis family for more than 10 years. He was competitive right until his very last session - always fighting for every single point, never giving anything away! He will always be remembered as the player with his huge, spinny serves and powerful topspin. 🏓

But David was so much more than a great table tennis player. He genuinely cared about our club and our young players. He was always interested in their development, asking about their progress and celebrating their successes with us.

David also had a wonderful way of making memories. He was the one who would bring us pieces of newspapers and articles about table tennis, knowing that we would want to keep them as little pieces of history to look back on. He shared so many great stories about Table Tennis England, table tennis in France, and the many years he had been involved in the sport.

Oh David… we are already missing you. 💔

It is so hard to believe that you won’t be walking through the doors for our Wednesday sessions anymore - sessions you loved because they were all about playing matches!

That was David: give him a table, an opponent and a chance to fight for a point, and he was happy.

David, thank you for being part of our club for so many years. Thank you for helping and encouraging our young players, for the countless crucial points you won in the local league, for your stories, your jokes, your smile and your wonderful character.

Most of all, thank you for being one of those loyal club members who became part of the heart and soul of our club.

Your place at the table will be empty, but your memory will always be part of our TTTA family.

Our thoughts are with David’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. Please accept our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. We hope they can take some comfort in knowing how much David was loved, respected and valued by everyone at Torbay Table Tennis Academy.

We will miss you so much, David.

You will never be forgotten. ❤️🏓

2026 is the year we celebrate our 15th Anniversary.

To mark this occasion, we will organise two Open Club Days - one in June and one in September 2026.

Dear Friends,

Today is a moment when we, as a table tennis community, can come together and help.

A strong club is not only about pride, winning, and receiving awards, but about supporting each other when help is needed most.

Today, many of us can make a small contribution to support one of our own.

Andrea is preparing to run the Berlin Marathon in September in aid of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Her husband, Matt, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a couple of years ago, and sadly his symptoms are getting worse.

Please bring some spare cash tomorrow to the session or contact Andrea for bank transfer details to support this important cause — our cause!
