Swansea All Stars Football Club

Today, amongst other things we learned some chest control to bring ball to our feet from the air. Then we tried to connect with the ball on our laces and shooting vollies towards the goal. To begin with the shots were going everywhere but not long into the exercise we had so many goals from vollies!! Was really good and quick progress 👏

A great session today in the sunshine ☀️ with a couple of new faces to share with you 😃😃

We passed, we dribbled, we shot shots and we played footbowls! We then played a game of footie that was made so much easier with our new bibs!

DesignShedCymru 🏳️‍🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏳️‍⚧️ we are so grateful for your sponsorship money, it enabled us to buy some proper bibs in proper sizes that fit everyone and leaves no one out.

For a long while it didn’t seem possible, but we eventually found a manufacturer that does inclusive sizes and for a really reasonable price. We didn’t have the funds for them, and DesignShedCymru 🏳️‍🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏳️‍⚧️ stepped in and paid for them for us ❤️

The EHRC guidelines changes nothing for Allstars. We will continue to welcome trans+, nonbinary and gender non conforming folk, alongside cis women.

Community over competition 🩵
For us, football is about connection, not pressure. It’s about showing up, enjoying the game, and supporting both our own and each other’s mental and/or physical health.

Right now, adding the pressure of competitive matches just doesn’t serve what we’re building, and that’s okay.
