Shincliffe Juniors FC Durham Tournament
Lads started off very slow today and well off what they’re capable of, they managed to bounce back playing some incredible passing football and making it to the final.
Unfortunately the lads lost the final against a strong FC Stags side, only 1 sub today with 3 of the lads unable to make it, with the quick turnaround between the semi final and final the additional players could have made a difference.
We were joined down there by one of our Under 15 sides who Preston’s brother plays for, they also made it to their final, but unfortunately lost 4-3.
Overall a good day out for the club with x2 finalists.

Congratulations to all our players yesterday at our Presentation Day, unfortunately Reggie couldn’t make it due to a family wedding so he’ll be given his awards at training on Thursday.

Great end to the U9 Footballing Year for the lads, a promotion followed by a 3rd place finish missing out on promotion by 3 points!
Whilst lots of talk is always about the goals, huge credit must go to Joel, Preston and Reggie at the back, and our 3 2025/26 Goalkeepers Harry, Greatness and Keeyan who between them kept 10 clean sheets from 33 games in the Russell Foster! 👏

Leon U9 Golds v Coxhoe U9
Today the lads faced Coxhoe in their final game of their U9 Journey, the lads controlled the game throughout, however lost themselves a bit in the second half.
The scoring opened with a great goal from Carter, who also doubled the lead later on, there were multiple chances for Leon, Reggie, Ronnie, Mason, Kene and Joel to extend the lead but it wasn’t meant to be, had it not been for Coxhoe’s keeper it could have been 5 or 6 more, but fair play he was outstanding!
The lads go into a tournament tomorrow, then 2 weeks rest before pre season starts!
Congratulations also to Elliot who was today’s Player of the Match! 👏
Good luck to Coxhoe for next season, thanks as always to all the players family and friends for supporting throughout the season!
