🚨We Are Through 🚨

Great result for everyone involved at the club today first county cup match and first cup win.

First half
The lads started the game sluggishly and we found ourselves conceding two balls over the top finding the feet of their striker. He makes no mistake with both 0-2 early. The lads heads didn’t drop, we soon fought back. A decent ball from Frankie found its way to Lew, he makes no mistake straight into the net. This was only the beginning, we got on the scoreboard 1-2. After a decent little spell for both sides Barnard found another 1-3. Half time

Second half
All I am going to say is WOW😮. We all had a good word at half time and went back out there with full intent to turn the game around. Our keeper, Reece, finds his striker with a beautiful long pass to Lew. He brought it down and without hesitation nestled it into the net. We were then 2-3, that second goal got us raring to go. Lads didn’t stop there, a long throw from Curtis finds mark who flicks it to lew once again. He never fails and got us even 3-3. Seon then picks the ball in the centre after some good footwork finds Jamie and puts us ahead with a rocket 🚀 4-3. Mac then finds himself with space plays it into Lew’s feet turns shoots goal 5-3 FT

After Sundays game the lads have had time to recover and look to go again as we welcome Doxford United Football Club who have came of the back of a win.

Not the way we wanted to start the season this weekend but despite the result the lads and management have took plenty of positives for the game.

First half
Straight from the off the lads were straight at it and within 3 minutes we were ahead after a rocket of a strike from Frankie🚀 1-0. We then controlled the game after starting strong for around 15 minutes then the visitors had come at us and had a decent spell on the ball and found two goals 1-2. With the last kick of the half Archie picks the ball up outside of box another brilliant strike puts us back level 2-2.

Second half
Both teams came out wanting to make a statement after the break which then lead to a goal for them 2-3. Straight back in from the boys and grab and equaliser 3-3. Last 20 minutes we had multiple players came off injured and we fought till last minute but ended 3-6.

We will be looking to bounce back next week 👊

🚨 Back to winning ways 🚨

After a couple of disappointing results in our last couple of games after playing some good football the lads turned it on today 😎.

First half
We controlled the possession and tempo of the game from the first whistle which then led us to having plenty of chances in the first half but we couldn’t find the breakthrough.

Second half
Marksmen then came out of the blocks and scored the opening goal due to goalkeeping error 0-1. The lads heads stay up and after the restart a nice bit of play in the middle of park by Mac finds Lewis then he makes no mistake into bottom corner 1-1. We then regained control of the game and found ourselves with a corner Mac whips it in Harris gets on the end of it 2-1. Around 5 mins from the end after a scramble in the middle ball lands with Kai he also makes no mistake 3-1
