Our Over 50s are back in Worcestershire Walking Football League action this Sunday, and there’s a very tough test ahead against our friends at Worcester City FC Walking Football.

Worcester are a well-established and experienced side, so it promises to be another excellent challenge for our squad as we continue our first league campaign.

What a start to league life for our Over 65s, who opened their Worcestershire Walking Football League campaign with an impressive 4–1 victory over Stourport Swifts.

Our Over 65s begin their league campaign today with an exciting opening fixture against Stourport Swifts.

The manager has selected a squad of nine players to represent Stratford Town as we take another big step in our journey.

After a busy summer of training, tournaments and cup football, it’s finally time for league action.

Kate compared her Whoop data from walking football and 11-a-side training over two one-hour game sessions.

Walking football:
✅ 8.4 strain
✅ 4,706 steps
✅ 81% in HR Zone 1

11-a-side:
✅ 6.8 strain
✅ 4,121 steps
✅ 40% in HR Zone 1

The result? Walking football gave her the bigger cardiovascular workout.

Our women’s team begin their league campaign in just under three weeks, and the excitement is really starting to build.

Preparation continues as the squad works hard on the training pitch ahead of what promises to be a fantastic new chapter for the team.

We’re immensely excited to get started, proud of the progress the group has made, and looking forward to seeing them represent Stratford Town in league competition.
