Another tournament day for the Queens, and today we travelled to Holly Lane United for their first girls’ tournament – and what a scorcher it was! ☀️⚽

Facing teams they’d never come up against before, the girls embraced the challenge brilliantly, progressing through the group stages without conceding a single goal.

A penalty shootout victory in the semi-final against a team joining our league next season booked our place in the final, where we faced Knowle Girls FC. It was a closely fought game, but unfortunately the Queens narrowly missed out, losing 1-0.

The girls gave absolutely everything in difficult conditions and should be incredibly proud of their performances throughout the day. Their teamwork, determination and resilience were there for everyone to see.

A huge well done to every single player – another fantastic tournament and another achievement to be proud of. 💛🖤

🏆 A proud evening for our Queens at the SDYFL Presentation Evening at Brierley Hill Civic.

The girls collected their League Runners-Up trophies and shield after an incredible season together. To achieve this in their very first season as a team is something everyone should be immensely proud of.

A huge congratulations to all the players and a massive thank you to the coaching team for their dedication, support and hard work throughout the season.
