This discreet safeguarding scheme allows anyone who feels unsafe, vulnerable or uncomfortable to ask a member of our team for “Angela” and receive calm, immediate and judgement-free support.

While often associated with bars and clubs, Ask for Angela is designed for everyone, and is now used across a growing range of settings, including hubs like ours. 🧡

For us, it’s about making sure every visit feels safe, respectful and supportive, so people can focus on moving, connecting and feeling their best. 🌈

🌱 Volunteer Opportunity 🌱

We are looking for volunteers to support in our Community Sensory Garden, at Life Leisure Hazel Grove! 🐛🐌🌻

This rewarding role involves supporting with:

• Setting up activities in the garden
• Welcoming families and helping everyone feel comfortable
• Helping with general garden maintenance
• Lending a hand where needed
• Tidying up and other light duties after sessions

If you enjoy being outdoors, connecting with nature and supporting children and families, this could be the perfect volunteer role for you. 🌈

This is also a great opportunity for anyone completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award, King’s Trust Award, or anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer role in the community.

Dan and Meg, who support and run our fantastic SEND Stay & Play session every Monday at Houldsworth Village! 👋

⚽ Dan – A proud Bolton fan who loves all things football and enjoys a round of golf in his spare time.
📚 Meg – A proud Stockport County supporter who loves keeping active in the gym and getting lost in a good book.

At Life Leisure, we believe that regardless of ability or background, everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of community, activity and wellbeing. That's why we're committed to making our hubs welcoming, inclusive spaces for everyone. Each week features a variety of activities including:

Our experienced staff create an adapted environment designed to support children with additional needs. This session is ideal for children who are already fairly confident playing with others and taking part in group activities, with just a little support from adults.

💛 Sports, games and creative skills

In our sports hall, children can explore different activity stations at their own pace, with low-demand, accessible games and activities delivered by our trained team.
