Congratulations to Hannah for joining the PPA 50 club!
Hannah joined PPA in November 2024 with a focus on improving physical performance for cricket (straight line speed, power when batting and distance when throwing)
Through her journey, we started with the fundamentals of movement - she's now smashed the movement development curriculum and is performing advanced movements that transfer straight to cricket performance
Here are how she's improved her performance stats in that time:
Countermovement jump (general lower body power): from 28.5cm to 32.2cm = 13% improvement!
Broad jump (horizontal power): from 174cm to 203cm = 16.7% improvement!
RSI (reactive strength): from 1.23 - 2.13 = 73.2% improvement!
Brilliant improvements Hannah - these give us confidence that the improvement in physical qualities is transferring through to cricket
Keep up the great work!

Another 5βοΈ review! Read in full below:
"Highly recommended if you looking to complement your child's sporting skills with physical aspects of any game. I have seen marked improvement in my son's physicality during his weekly football games since he joined this academy. The coaches are super friendly and the program is well paced to help kids graduate to more demanding levels. All in all, very satisfied with the academy."
Thanks for the review Rupinder! Great to hear we're having such an impact on the physical development of youth athletes.

It's PPA's 4th birthday! π
When I launched PPA back in 2022, the goal was to use my knowledge and experience from working in professional sport to give the opportunity to as many youth athletes as possible to reach their goals as athletes, and to receive the same level of support as in a professional academy.
We've gone from renting space by the hour in another gym, to opening our own dedicated facility for youth athletes π
We've worked with hundreds of athletes (currently well over 100 per week) from karting to football and every sport in between - both in person and online πͺ
We've worked with athletes who have qualified for youth international teams and athletes just getting started on their athletic development journey - we just like working with young people who want to get better and work towards their goals (and supportive parents!) π
Having coached in professional academies considered the best in the country and at international level in youth sport, I can honestly say that the service we offer is the best that I have seen for youth athletes (although I am biased of course!), due to the coaching support and individual work for athletes.
As we continue to grow and get better each year, we have some big goals to help drive us forward - improving the support to everyone we work with and challenging ourselves along the way
We're just getting started...

Welcome to the 50 club, Ethan!
Ethan has been training with PPA initially since May 2024 - he's one of 3 brothers who are in the 50 club (2 / 3)
Like his brothers, Ethan's main sport is Brazilian jiu jitsu - we're developing whole body strength and power to transfer to competition while focusing on developing movement quality which lays the foundation for future strength, power and movement speed. We're thinking long term!
Ethan is chasing down his brothers - working hard and already in the development phase of our strength development curriculum
Here are his performance stats since working with us:
Reactive strength index - from 0.83 to 1.20 (45% INCREASE)
Counter movement jump - from 19.4cm to 27.7cm (42.8% INCREASE)
Broad jump - 145cm to 165cm (13.8% INCREASE)
Over 40% improvement on 2 of the tests is MASSIVE, especially considering he's grown 10cm since joining!
Keep up the fantastic work Ethan π

"My child is training hard... so why have they stopped improving?"
It's one of the most common questions we hear from parents of young athletes.
The instinct is often to train more.
But in reality, performance plateaus are rarely caused by a lack of effort.
More often, they're linked to one or more missing pieces of the performance puzzle:
β
Recovery
β
Nutrition
β
Strength & conditioning
β
Training quality
β
Monitoring and understanding growth
β
A structured development plan
The athletes who continue progressing aren't always the ones doing the mostβthey're often the ones doing the right things consistently.
If your child has been stuck at the same level, it doesn't necessarily mean they've reached their limit. It may simply mean they need a more complete approach to their development.
π¬ Has your child ever gone through a performance plateau?
