🥊🔥 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR BLUE! 🔥🥊

After having his first bout yesterday, Blue was straight back through the ropes again today for his second fight in two days.

I've just had the result back from the lads, and what a result it is!

Blue was up against a seriously experienced opponent who represents Wales, is a three-time National Champion and a former Welsh Champion — standing around 6'5" tall as well.

But Blue did what Blue does.

He got stuck straight in. 🥊

He didn't care about the height, the experience or the titles. He went in there, backed himself and came away with a cracking WIN! 🏆🔥

At only 14 years old, to step in against that calibre of opponent after already boxing the day before and produce a result like that is something he should be massively proud of.

And I've got to give a HUGE shout-out and thank you to Matt from Batten's Boxing. 👏🥊

I couldn't be there this weekend, so Matt stepped in, travelled down with Blue and took care of him in the corner for me. Knowing Blue had someone experienced looking after him meant a lot, and I genuinely appreciate everything you've done for him this weekend, mate. Massive respect. 👊

But today belongs to Blue.

What a result, young man. Everyone at Jack Bishop's Gym is incredibly proud of you.

The bell will ring, the gloves will be on, and our Jack Bishop’s boxers will be stepping through those ropes ready to represent the badge.

Expect a proper old-school amateur boxing show — competitive bouts, a cracking atmosphere and a room full of people getting behind the boxers.

No smoke machines.

No fancy entrances.

No messing about.

Just two corners, one ring and proper boxing. 🥊

More details will be coming over the next few months, including tickets, venue information and who’ll be representing Jack Bishop’s.

But for now, there’s only one thing you need to do…

🥊 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS – WEBSITE & MONTHLY PAYMENTS 🥊

Just a quick update for everyone regarding the Jack Bishop’s Gym website and monthly payments.

Unfortunately, we’re currently having an issue with the website itself, which is also affecting payments being transferred correctly into the club bank account.

Because of this, I’m asking all members who currently have a monthly payment set up through the website to please cancel it through their bank.

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY FURTHER PAYMENTS THROUGH THE WEBSITE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

There appears to be a bigger issue with the website, and it’s looking likely that we may need to have a completely new website set up rather than continuing with the current one.

In the meantime, if you have any membership payments due, these will be dealt with directly through the club, so nobody needs to worry about using the website.

Once I know exactly what is happening and the new payment system is ready, I’ll update everyone with the new details.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for bearing with me while I get everything sorted.

🥇🥊 GOLD FOR BLUE AT THE RIVIERA BOX CUP! 🥊🥇

A massive well done to Blue, coming away from the Riviera Box Cup 2026 with the GOLD medal! 🏆🥇

It wasn't quite the weekend we expected. Blue received a bye straight through to today's final and was ready and waiting to get in there and earn that gold inside the ring.
Unfortunately, the final couldn't go ahead. Blue weighed in at 84kg, while his opponent came in at 135kg — a difference of over 50kg.

We completely understand why the officials wouldn't allow the bout to happen. It wasn't just the huge difference in weight — Blue also had more bout experience, while the other lad was a zero-bout boxer. Put that difference in experience together with such a massive weight difference, and the officials had to put the safety of both boxers first.
We're gutted for Blue because he didn't travel all this way just to collect a medal — he came here wanting to fight. He trained hard for it, made the journey, weighed in and was ready to step through those ropes and do his job.
But that's boxing sometimes. You can only fight what's put in front of you, and on this occasion the officials made the right call.
So Blue still leaves the Riviera Box Cup 2026 as a GOLD MEDALLIST! 🥇🏆
