🔥 Pre-season progress continues! 💛💙

Netley Royals U11 Yellow continued their pre season campaign at the Hamble Youth Tournament. 🌞⚽ Despite the scorching heat, the squad showed fantastic determination, teamwork, and attitude throughout the day. Every single player put in a brilliant performance and did the club proud! 👏💛

Meanwhile, Netley Royals U11 Blue wrapped up their pre-season tournaments by finishing Runners-Up in the Plate Competition at the Fawley Falcons Tournament! 🥈💙 the boys battled hard, showed resilience, and came away with a well earned trophy to finish pre season on a high.

A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, parents, volunteers, and tournament organisers for another fantastic weekend of grassroots football. Bring on the new season! 💪⚽

What a response from the boys! 💪 After a couple of tough results in our recent friendlies, they bounced back in style with an outstanding team performance.

✅ 2-0 vs Totton Lightning
✅ 1-0 vs Stoneham Thunder
✅ 2-0 vs BTC Panthers

Three wins from three secured our place in the quarter-finals! 👏

A narrow 1-0 defeat to a strong elite side meant we finished second in the group before facing a talented Hedge End team in the quarter-finals. Despite the heat and a long wait before kick-off, the boys gave everything but were edged out 2-0.

More important than the results was the football on display. The passing, movement, teamwork and determination we’ve been working on in training were there for everyone to see. Every player worked tirelessly, supported each other and represented Netley Royals with pride. 💙💛

A special mention to Fraser, Oz, Travis and Reggie for some outstanding performances—but today’s Player of the Match goes to EVERYONE! 👏

So proud of this group. Resilience, character, togetherness and brilliant football from start to finish. The future is bright! ⚽

A brilliant day of football for our Netley Royals U12 Blue at today’s Hamble Youth Tournament! 👏

The boys showed fantastic teamwork, determination and character throughout the group stages, earning their place in the quarter finals. 💪

Our tournament journey came to an end with a narrow 1-0 defeat, but every player can be incredibly proud of their efforts. They battled until the final whistle, played some excellent football, and represented the club with pride from start to finish. 💙👑

A huge thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who cheered the team on throughout the day. Your support means everything! 🙌

Today we were proud to host our 2nd Annual Netley Royals U10 Football Festival at Netley School.

It was fantastic to welcome Hamble, Hedge End Rangers, and Nursling & Shirley for a morning of round-robin football played in exactly the right spirit, with respect, teamwork, smiles, and plenty of fun.

Days like today show what grassroots football is all about. Different clubs coming together as one football community, giving every child the opportunity to enjoy the game, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

A huge thank you to everyone from Hamble, Hedge End Rangers, and Nursling & Shirley for making the festival such a success. We hope to see you all again next year!

A special shout out to Spencer for refereeing the matches on pitch 2 this morning, helping every game flow with fairness and encouragement. Your support was hugely appreciated! 👏

⚽️ U8 Whites | JP Tournament ⚽️

What a day for our U8 Whites at the JP Tournament! 💙🤍

The boys faced some incredibly tough opposition, including two academy teams, and rose to the challenge with determination, resilience and some fantastic football throughout the day.

One of the standout moments was a hard-fought draw against local rivals, while another memorable performance saw the team celebrate a brilliant win with every player getting valuable game time and contributing to a fantastic team effort. 🙌

There were also some outstanding defensive moments, including a penalty save and some excellent stops from our stand-in goalkeepers in the final matches. 🧤👏

Playing 9 matches in the heat is no easy task, and every single player should be incredibly proud of their effort, attitude and teamwork. The progress this group has made since the PACE competition has been incredible, and seeing all those smiles at the end of the day said it all! 💙
