SEASON OVERVIEW 📊

12 wins, two draws and just one defeat from 15 matches - a strong record across all competitions.

LEAGUE CAMPAIGN 🥈

AoC South East Premier League runners up by just one point and the only team to complete the league season unbeaten

CUP RUNS 🏆

Back-to-back Hampshire Cup champions and AoC National Cup quarter finalists - finishing among the final 8 teams in the country.

GOALSCORERS 🔥

Our top three goalscorers were Olivia Glover with 14, Chloe Tedman with 12 and Eva Coulter with 8 - all three also representing Southampton Women's FC during the season at club level.

ASSIST PROVIDERS 🎯

Chloe Tedman, Eva Coulter and Olivia Glover led the way for assists, contributing at both ends of our attacking play.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH ⭐️

Erin, Florrie, Robyn and Olivia shared the most Player of the Match awards, each receiving two during the season.

CLEAN SHEETS 🧤

Six clean sheets across the campaign, with goalkeeper Leya playing an important role through her shot-stopping, distribution and command of the area.

FIRST TEAM OPPORTUNITIES 📈

3 First Team call ups were earned by Priya, Summer and Rosina.

ACADEMY TEAM OF THE YEAR 🏅

The First Team finished joint 3rd with the Itchen College Netball Academy Academy in Itchen’s Academy Team of the Year award.

US SCHOLARSHIP 🇺🇸

One US scholarship secured - another player progressing towards an exciting academic and football opportunity overseas.

COMMITMENT 💯

Every First Team squad member achieved at least 95% attendance, with 4 players recording a perfect 100% attendance across the season.

Freya Jones shares her US college soccer journey:

After completing her BTEC Sport course at Itchen, former Itchen College Women's Football Academy First Team player Freya secured a scholarship to play NCAA Division II soccer at Nova Southeastern University in Florida NSU Women's Soccer

During her time in America, Freya was part of the Nova Southeastern side that won both the conference title and the conference tournament. 🏆

Freya has since returned to Portsmouth Women , where her senior football journey began, and now competes in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division (Tier 3).

Our academy players have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, balancing their academic studies alongside their football commitments. We’re incredibly proud of the work they’ve put in and wish everyone the very best for today! 💙⚽

FLORIDA TOUR 🇺🇸⚽

Earlier this year, two of our First Team WFA players, Phoebe and Hollie, headed to Florida with for an exciting US college soccer experience.

During the tour, they played 9 fixtures against US university sides - including NCAA Division I opposition - while gaining a genuine insight into life as a student-athlete.

The tour included:
⚽ Training and competing at university level
🏟️ Campus tours and access to elite facilities
🤝 Networking with US university coaches
🌎 Competitive matches against players from around the world
🎥 Valuable match footage and recruitment exposure
📚 An insight into balancing academics with high-level sport

The trip also provided a special full-circle moment as Phoebe and Hollie caught up with former Itchen WFA player Freya during one of their campus visits.

From captaining the First Team to securing a scholarship in the USA, Liv embraced every opportunity and represented Itchen Football Academy with pride throughout her journey.

More than her achievements, Liv’s dedication, talent, competitiveness and commitment made her a fantastic role model for those around her and left a lasting impact on Itchen College Women's Football Academy.

Now settled in the USA, Liv begins an exciting new chapter at Mississippi Gulf Coast Women’s Soccer

Huge congratulations to Robyn, one of our first year Itchen College Women's Football and Itchen Ups students, who recently travelled to Morocco as part of the Public Services expedition.

Robyn embraced every opportunity the trip had to offer, including shopping in the city’s many winding souks, riding camels across the Agafay Desert, eating and sleeping in traditional Moroccan riads, and taking on the 2 day challenge of climbing North Africa’s highest summit, Mount Toubkal (4,167m). ⛰️🐪🇲🇦

The expedition was a perfect opportunity to test fitness levels, grit and determination, and Robyn should be incredibly proud of everything she achieved on the trip.

An amazing accomplishment and an unforgettable experience - well done, Robyn! 👏

Our Itchen College Women's Football BTEC Sport students enjoyed a fantastic visit to Solent University today, taking part in engaging taster sessions, touring the excellent facilities, and exploring the wide range of sport courses on offer.

Solent University has built a strong relationship with our Women’s Football Academy programme and continues to provide fantastic support and opportunities for our students. It was great for the group to experience university life first-hand and discover the pathways available to them beyond college.
