Sleaford Striders Summer 2027 is now open!

A big thank you to everyone who came along tonight and we are pleased to annouce that the 2027 race is open with an early bird discount of £2 ending on the 30th September 2026.

Next years will take place on the 13th August, Good luck for us :D

Furthermore in regards to the hot weather, here are the England Athletic guidelines:

Running sessions in hot weather – guidance for athletes and clubs - England Athletics Regardless of a person’s activity level, high temperatures can have an impact on health – and for those taking part in sport. this can be a issue. Please read our recommendations to minimise the risk to all involved.

Hot weather warning!

Currently the forecast for Scredington on Friday is highs of 29c although we expect slightly lower at 7pm. Eitherway it is going to be hot.

Please hydrate well during the day, wear a hydration vest if you have one or bottle belt. We have a water station roughly half way with cups of water and extra water at the finish along with tea, coffee and juice.

Dress appropriately!

If you feel unwell, pull out and do not start!. We have medics at the finish and on route but ideally we hope they have a boring night and everyone gets back safe.
