This is true about in Tang Soo Do too.

You have to:

‼️live what your doing
‼️push through hard times
‼️develop confidence
‼️learn how to adapt to barriers
‼️build a no quit mentality

Why?

Because this is life. These are life skills and a black belt just means you are starting to make changes in your life which you have fought hard for.

Some people focus on getting black belt and then leave. You are only just starting on your journey and there is still so much more to learn about your art and your own body and mind capabilities.

🥋 Las cintas en taekwondo no significan lo que crees

Muchos piensan que la cinta representa “qué tan bueno eres”…
pero la realidad es otra.

Una cinta no mide talento.
No mide fuerza.
Ni siquiera mide cuántas peleas has ganado.

🔥 Mide algo mucho más difícil: constancia.

Cada cinta representa:
• Días en los que no querías ir… y aún así fuiste
• Errores repetidos hasta hacerlo bien
• Caídas, frustración y disciplina
• Respeto por el proceso, no por el resultado

Una cinta negra no significa que ya llegaste…
significa que no te rendiste cuando era más fácil hacerlo.

Y las cintas bajas…
no son debilidad, son el inicio de alguien que decidió cambiar.

🥋 En el taekwondo, el verdadero valor no está en el color que llevas en la cintura…
está en lo que tuviste que superar para amarrártelo.

⚡ La cinta se gana en el entrenamiento, no en el examen.

What a week!

Some lovely people joined us for our balance stretch and strengthening classes.

Classes open to new starts. You don’t have to be fit to start but you do need to start to gain some fitness and stability.

All equipment provided just come along and join in.
