They were all beginners once 💗
It’s easy to look at someone lifting confidently now and think:
“I’d never be able to do that.”
But what you don’t see is where they started.
Emma was a beginner.
Bertie was a beginner.
Clare was a beginner.
Sophie was a beginner.
They didn’t walk into the gym knowing how to squat, deadlift, bench press or choose the right weight.
They had to learn.
They had to practise..
Confidence comes from doing something repeatedly, realising you can do it and gradually getting better.
That’s why when a new woman comes into my gym, I don’t expect her to know what she’s doing.
I expect her to be a beginner.
My job is to teach her.
And honestly, watching that transition from:
“I’m not sure I can do this” to “I’ve got this.”
is one of my favourite parts of coaching.
So if you’re currently thinking you’re “too much of a beginner” to start...
You’re not.
You just need the right place to start ☺️

You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
1: Learn the movements.
2: Learn how to use weights.
3: Build confidence.
4: Progress gradually.
You don’t need to know it all before you start. That is what I’m here to teach you.
Beginners course starts mid September 💗

You’ve never really felt confident in a gym? This is for you.
Maybe you’ve wanted to start strength training for ages.
But you don’t know what you’re doing.
You’re worried everyone will be fitter than you.
You don’t know which weights to use.
And the thought of walking into a busy gym by yourself makes you want to put it off for another six months.
You don’t need to be fit before you start.
You just need somewhere you feel comfortable learning.
I’ve created a 6-Week Beginner Strength Programme for Women in Shrewsbury.
Small, female-only groups of up to 6.
Over six weeks I’ll teach you how to:
💪 Use weights confidently
🏋️♀️ Learn the fundamentals of strength training
❤️ Improve your fitness
🔥 Start working towards fat loss
🧠 Understand what you’re doing and WHY
✨ Build confidence in yourself
You’ll also get an initial 1:1 fitness assessment, nutrition guidance and weekly support throughout the programme.
If you’d like more information? Send me a message or click the link in my bio.

There’s usually a reason behind the reason you join a gym.
It might sound like:
‘I want to lose some weight’
But underneath that, it might actually be..
I want to regain confidence.
To feel like me again.
To find community.
To rebuild strength postpartum
To prevent injury as I age
To do something for me.
And honestly, those are the reason that matter.
Because training is also..
About how you feel when you wake up.
How you carry yourself.
The confidence you have.
The things you feel capable of doing.
Then knowing that you’ve finally started putting yourself back on the list.

If you’ve been thinking about give PT a go for a while.. but keep putting it off..
You don’t need to be fit.
You don’t need to know what you’re doing.
And you definitely don’t need to feel confident walking through the door.
Your first session is simply a chance to come in, meet me, see how we train and find out whether it’s what you’re actually looking for.
No pressure. No commitment. No awkward sales pitch.
Literally what it says on the tin- one session, a little push outside of your comfort zone and a chance to leave thinking:
‘I’m really glad I finally did it’
You’ve got nothing to lose by giving it a go.
My only aim is to help you in anyway I can. Interested- send me a message and let’s get you booked in.
Tho my current SGPT slot- super limited (2 Spaces)
Hope to see you in the gym soon.

I’d keep it simple:
10-20% calorie deficit- Enough to create progress without making life miserable.
08-1g protein per lb to help with fullness and maintain muscle.
Strength training 2-3X per week.
Plenty of daily movement and steps.
Foods I actually enjoy, including meals out and the occasional drink.
Looking at progress over weeks/months, not panicking over one weigh- in.
Most importantly, I’d give it time.
You don’t need to be perfect for 12 weeks. You need to be consistent enough for long enough.
The goal isn’t just losing the 10kg.
It’s losing it in a way that means you don’t have to start all over again.
Swipe for helpful guidance on calorie deficit and protein targets.
Need help working this out- send me a message.

A few pictures that sum up this group pretty well 👯♀️
It’s not just about what happens in the gym-
We work hard, definitely, but there’s also plenty of laughing, jokes and generally having a good time together.
We had the most fabby time cocktail making together on Saturday.
On Wednesday we multitasked between sets and trying to catch the solar eclipse ☀️🌙
I think that’s what makes training so much easier to stick to- when you actually enjoy the people you’re doing it with.
As always I feel super grateful to be the one to help these ladies and create a space where they feel confident and strong.

All you need is a bar and a stop watch.
A dead hang can give you an insight into grip strength, upper body strength and relative strength- how strong you are in relation to your own body weight.
You might weigh the same.
But if you can hang from the bar for 40 seconds rather than 10 seconds..
You’ve got stronger. That’s progress.
It’s also a reminder of what your body can do.
More Strength
Better Grip
Winning.
