What a great game at the Park today. Straight from kick-off we played with purpose, never afraid to have a pop, getting stuck in with a great work rate. We conceded early from a soft set piece but never stopped working. The introduction of Tanya gave us more strength in a fiercely fought mid-field and the pace of Aaliyah was a constant threat. An exciting game was won by an absolute belter of a free kick by Maddi Green.

As a supporter of this great club I wear my heart on my sleeve. This time last week I was trying to comprehend how we dominated a game without a credible attempt on goal. I knew the club would be equally as frustrated.

A week is a long time in football, it gives time to reflect, to analyse and to re-group. It gives the coaching staff time to do what they do best and it gives the player's pride a chance to heal. For the strongest of squads it re-ignites the fire.

Yesterday saw us travel to Worcester, the players would have been feeling pressure mixed with the desire to let their quality do the talking. Following the club updates I could see we wanted that win, more positive in attack and still resilient in defence. A winning performance.

Worcester 1:5 BWFC

Well done to everyone, hard work pays off and belief keeps on growing.

It's the first game of a new season. A season that promises so much, not just through the eyes of a keen supporter but also from the pre-season club media. The fans are excited and anticipating a start that reflects their dreams of tier 3 football this time next year.

A beautiful day, the crowd is healthy, swelled by a sizeable Chesterfield following and the now shrunken cafe is busy servicing hot and cold beverages. There is an audible buzz in the air as the mascots prepare for their moment with shreaks of Barnsley!, watched on by proud parents.

Unit proudly announces the squads, emphasis put behind every player in red. The familiar sound of Fat Boy Slim serenades the players and officials as they appear from the tunnel, Toby's camera clicks for the team photo, the formalities are done and the huddle forms...it's game on!

BWFC 0.1 Chesterfield

Next week sees the first away game of the season as we travel to Worcester, good luck all.

Well that went quick! We hope you've all enjoyed your summer so far, hot init!
The players have been turning up the heat too, working hard at training and getting match fit with friendlies but this coming Sunday is the real thing. The start of our serious push for third tier football starts at home when we welcome Chesterfield FC to 'the park'.
The supporters would like to say a huge welcome to Aaliyah Nolan, Sami Brooks, Emily Cattle, Nicole Kemp, Milly Wortley who have put their faith in our club. Also thank you to all the stars who have re-committed to the cause this season. A big farewell to Olivia who switches football for soccer, good luck on your adventure Liv. No other announcements have been made about departures but if there is then good luck to those players for the future.
Exciting times are ahead for the club as the Super Devs have also been busy rebuilding after their amazing last season.
So come on you reds! Get your bums in those seats and create a winning atmosphere for our BARNSLEY! 😊

As the sun goes down on another season the first team signed out today with a 1.0 win away at Northampton. The form that we've shown of late and a 4th place finish will encourage Craige and the team for next season.
The Super Devs succumbed to a disappointing defeat at home to Frickley. Despite a fantastic goal by Edgely to bring us back on equal terms the visitors eventually ran out 3.1 winners. We play our last game on Wednesday against Stavely.
