The wait is over – Howden Ladies’ Training is back on from tonight!

For the next 4 weeks, we’re delighted to welcome PT Paul back, just like last year, to put the ladies through their paces. Expect challenging sessions designed to build strength, fitness, and confidence as we prepare for the new season ahead.💙🖤

We’d love to see as many players as possible at training!

If you’ve been thinking about getting back into football or fancy joining a fantastic, friendly group of ladies, this is the perfect time to come along. New players of all abilities are always welcome!

After a well-earned few weeks off, our Howden AFC Ladies have been enjoying a break from training. And yes… thanks to some random World Cup game tonight 😉, there’ll be no training this evening!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

But we’ll be back and ready to kick off our pre-season training on Wednesday 8th July, and we can’t wait to get started!

Just like last pre-season, the amazing PT Paul Everett at Target Fitness has generously offered to put the ladies through 4 weeks of fitness and strength training to get us match-ready for the new season. A huge thank you to Paul for his continued support! 💪👏

Last night, the Howden AFC Ladies celebrated their end-of-season presentation night — and what a brilliant night it was! 💙🖤⚽

Every single award was truly deserved, but honestly every player in this team deserves recognition for the incredible season they’ve had.

Our 2025/26 season award winners were:

To finish 3rd this season is an amazing achievement, and every single player should be proud. The strength, commitment, determination, and togetherness shown throughout the season has been fantastic to see.

We also want to say a massive thank you to Coach Cal and all the people working behind the scenes — Jules, Aimee, Sarah, and Jess. The time and effort you all put in doesn’t go unnoticed, from training sessions and organising food after matches to arranging social events and everything else that goes into running Howden AFC Ladies. We appreciate you all so much.🫶🏼🫶🏼

And of course, the biggest thank you goes to all of our supporters who turn up every single week, no matter the weather, to cheer us on from the sidelines. You are the heart of Howden AFC Ladies 💙🖤

One thing about the Howden ladies — if football didn’t work out, we’d definitely make a quality drinking team and probably drink everyone under the table 🍻😂

Well, the Howden AFC Ladies 25/26 season has come to an end—and what a season it’s been!💙🖤

In just their second year competing, these ladies have truly outdone themselves. After an incredible 5th place finish in their debut season, they pushed even further this year to secure an amazing 3rd place spot. What an achievement!

It’s been a real rollercoaster along the way—some matches with just a bare 11 players, others with a full squad of 16. The team has grown throughout the season too, with younger players stepping up and new faces joining what’s become an incredibly strong and united squad.

Finishing the season with 11 wins, 3 draws, and only 4 losses is something to be seriously proud of. The progress, determination, and team spirit have been outstanding from start to finish.

The ladies cannot go without saying a huge thank you to all the coaches and supporters who keep this team going—without you, the team wouldn’t be as great as it is.

The ladies are already looking ahead to next season—motivated, determined, and ready to climb even higher up the table. 💪⚽💙🖤
