Details of our September Club Technical Seminar

White – Red belt 10:00-14:00
Red and Blackbelt 14:00-16:00
Course fee £15

This seminar is to focus on technical content of all grading patterns, self defence and set sparring. We will break down the pattern to increase understanding of key areas of the pattern and help each student to improve how they perform them. The four hours will allow us time to explain and demonstrate key aspects which we cannot fully do within normal lessons due to time constraints. We will also spend time on step sparring drills and explain and discuss its importance. The event has been added to the HEJA app so please book in there and cost is only £15 per student paid beforehand so we have time to plan the day. All seminar fees to be handed in to Mr Churchward during the week.

Here are the names and timeslots below for our September grading on 12th September. Due to the numbers we will complete all students on the Saturday in three timeslots. Please ensure all licenses are in date and not expired, if so they will need to be renewed alongside the grading fee, everything needs to be handed in next week in class so we do not need to process licenses and payments at the grading weekend. Please put everything in an envelope clearly marked with names.

Anyone who cannot make the grading on the given timeslot or does not feel ready should notify us so we can remove them and re arrange the slots if required as soon as possible. As we have just had the summer holidays its perfectly acceptable to postpone the grading until the next one in December to ensure students are well prepared.

Grading fees are £35 for dragons and junior belts up to Green tag, £40 for green belts and above. License renewals are £30.

Grading is at Excelsior Academy starting at the correct allotted timeslots. In line with previous gradings, time keeping is important and any students late will not be allowed to grade so please ensure you are there early enough to prepare and warm up prior to the grading time.

There maybe a few students who haven’t reached the required standard as yet so have not been included to allow them further time to prepare for the next grading weekend.

We will need assistance for both Little Dragon and junior / Senior Grading so if any of our dragon helpers or class assistants can volunteer please let us know.

Any queries please contact Mr Churchward asap to discuss
