Throwback to February when we hosted the Saintfield Brownies for a fun introduction to short mat bowling. They were absolute naturals and a joy to have at the club!

Look at this incredible thank-you poster they made for us! ❤️ It has officially taken pride of place in our clubhouse!

Thanks for coming, girls—we hope to see you all on the mats again soon!

On behalf of everyone associated with Saintfield Bowling Club, we want to send our very best wishes to Susan Creber ahead of her big match!

Susan is competing in the NIWPGL Junior Singles Quarter-Final, where she will be taking on Leigh Todd of Ards Bowling Club.

We are all incredibly proud to have Susan representing Saintfield at this stage of the competition. Win or lose, you have the backing of the entire club behind you Susan, but we know you'll give it absolutely everything! 🤞🤞

🚨 NIWPGL Junior Singles Update 🚨

The race for the Junior Singles title is gathering momentum, with two semi-finalists already confirmed and two quarter-final ties still to be decided 🔥

The first semi-final is now set and will be a repeat of last year's final. Defending champion Celeste Martin of Comber Bowling Club will put her title on the line against last year's runner-up, Betty Rodgers of Ards. Their encounter in 2025 was a high-quality contest, and another thrilling battle is expected when the pair meet again.

Meanwhile, the remaining quarter-final ties will determine who joins them in the last four. Ulster Transport Bowling Club's Liz Hunter takes on Kerry Skimmin of Ards, while Saintfield Bowling Club's Susan Creber faces 2024 champion Leigh Todd of Ards in what promises to be another closely fought encounter.

With the title race reaching a crucial stage, every player will be determined to keep their championship dreams alive.

🏆 Quarter Finals to be completed by Friday 19th June 2026
🏆 Semi Finals: 7th–9th August 2026 at Falls Bowling Club

Who will secure their place in the semi-finals and take another step towards the Junior Singles crown? 👀

Despite their incredibly busy schedule, Their Majesties took some time out to witness the local talent. Word has it the King was particularly impressed by Malcolm’s masterclass delivery.

His Majesty did enquire about a membership! Specifically, whether the club tie comes in Royal Purple or if he's allowed to embroider a small crown on his bowling trousers... 😅👑

What a day for Saintfield Bowling Club! 👏

There’s nothing like a bit of local weather to test your resolve! Huge credit to the Saintfield Bowling Club's mens team who put in a massive shift today to claim a 77-59 victory against Pickie B in the Irish Bowling Association Junior Cup.

The weather certainly tried its best to play havoc with the match, but our players showed incredible grit and determination to stay focused through the unpredictable conditions.

📸 Check out the photos below to see the team in action (and try to spot how many layers we had to wear to stay dry!).

We want to thank everyone at Pickie for the matches today and with them the very best of luck for the remainder of their season. It’s always a pleasure to compete against such a sporting side!
