If you don't take the time to understand yourself, your habits, your reactions, your patterns, your values, someone or something else will eventually decide who you become.
Everything gets created twice.
First as a thought or intention in your mind and then as a reality in the world.
A house is designed before it is built.
A life works the same way.

August is over. A new month is starting tomorrow. Here are a few practical steps that have proven to be a game changer for me and I am sharing this with you.
I do daily check-ins with myself. This includes my thoughts, feelings and actions.
Tracking my progress as a coach shows me how far I have come and that motivates me, gives me self-belief.
I love to show up for my clients every single day. So, I am continuously investing in my own learning and education. Growth matters.

The world lost a legend on 25th August, but her light will never dim. Dolly Parton has passed away at 80 and if there was ever a woman who showed us what it means to rise on your own terms, it was her.
Dolly didn't wait for permission.
Born into poverty in the Smoky Mountains, one of twelve children, she turned grit into greatness as a songwriter, performer, businesswoman, philanthropist, icon.
She wrote "I Will Always Love You" and "Jolene" in the same afternoon.
She turned down Elvis when he wanted the rights to her songs, because she knew her worth.
She built Dollywood from the ground up in her own hometown. She funded literacy programs that have put books in the hands of millions of children.
She did all of this while the world tried to reduce her to a look, a voice, a punchline. She never let them.
That's the kind of independence and strength we champion here at She's A Star Coaching. Dolly proved that softness and power aren't opposites, for example, you can be warm, funny, glamorous and still be one of the powerful businesswomen in American history. She once said, "Find out who you are and do it on purpose." That's not just a quote, that's a blueprint.
To every professional woman reading this, know that nothing should hold you back from being a high achiever. Not your background. Not other people's expectations. Not the boxes the world tries to put you in. Dolly didn't ask for a seat at the table, she built her own table, and then made room for everyone else.

Steps to reconnect with yourself
1. Clarity
Before you can change anything, you need to know what's really going on.Not the surface story. The real one.
Try this activity. For each question, pick the option that fits your current situation. Then write down why. Ask yourself: is this real, is it fear talking or is it a story I've made up? The more honest you are, the more this will show you.

C) Honestly, I'm not sure I ever have
What have you stopped noticing and you've been putting up with?
