📢 Car Boot Sale Postponed

Unfortunately, the Car Boot Sale organised by LeeAnna's Wish CIC, which was due to take place at Cottonmill Community & Cycle Centre on Monday 31st August, has been postponed until further notice.

We appreciate that many of you may have been looking forward to the event and apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause.

📢 Progress Update: New Multi-User Leisure Route Works Underway 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️🌳

You may have noticed increased activity around the park space at Cottonmill, as contractors are now fully on site and work has officially begun on the new multi-user leisure route that will connect Alban Way with the new country park.

As you can see from the latest images, preparation works are currently taking place, with teams getting the ground ready for the construction of the new wide pathway. Once completed, the route will provide improved access for walkers, cyclists, families, and other users, creating better connections across the local area and enhancing opportunities to enjoy the surrounding green spaces.

We're also pleased to confirm that contractors have advised that the existing leisure walk path will be directly linked into the new country park, making it even easier for visitors to explore the area and enjoy extended walking and cycling routes.

This is an exciting stage of the project, and we look forward to seeing the new route take shape over the coming weeks.

🌳 Park Works Update 🚧

While visiting the park space at Cottonmill Community & Cycle Centre, you may notice large barriers surrounding the park area.

These barriers are in place to allow SEGRO and their subcontractors to safely carry out works on the new multi-user route, which will link Alban Way to the new Country Park. This exciting project will improve access for walkers, cyclists and other users, creating better connections across the local area.

Please note that these works are not being carried out by, or directly connected to, Cottonmill Community & Cycle Centre. We are simply sharing this information to keep our visitors informed.

The works are expected to continue for the next 5 to 6 weeks. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important infrastructure project is completed.
