A tough test today against a very good Thorpe Hesley Village FC side who compete three divisions above us, but the lads can be extremely proud of their performance. 👏

For the full 90 minutes, we competed, battled and played some brilliant football. Thorpe Hesley took their chances when they came, unfortunately we didn’t — but that’s football!

Despite the result, there are plenty of positives to take from today. Another valuable 90 minutes in the tank for the lads as the new season fastly approaches. 💪

This Sunday we face another huge challenge as we take on Thorpe Hesley Village FC, who compete in the Rotherham Premier Division.

After Thursday’s fantastic win against Ville FC, an established Mexborough Premier Division side, the lads head into Sunday full of confidence and ready to put in another big shift. 💪💚

With this being our final pre-season game before the league campaign gets underway, it’s another opportunity to get valuable minutes in the tank, build fitness, sharpen things up and make sure we’re ready for the real thing.

Ville FC are an established side competing in the Mexborough Premier, so we knew this would be another really good test for us heading into the final stages of pre-season.

The lads absolutely dug deep and outplayed them from start to finish. We dominated the game with bare numbers, but every single player put in a shift and played their part. 💪⚽️

Another valuable 90 minutes in the tank as pre-season is now nearly over and the season is fast approaching. The performances are coming together nicely and the lads are looking in great shape. 👊
