GTAS ladies got there season underway today.. with a well earned 3 points.. the ladies started confidently passing the ball around and playing the simple passes, triangles and moving the opposition around.. our first goal came from a great ball through from Katie with Jenny latching on to it and making it 1-0
just before half time we conceded a goal from a ball over the top.. half time 1-1
Second half, we started strong plenty attacks, testing Ladybridges keeper minute after minute, shots coming from Payton from the left hand side.. until we broke the dead lock.. a great ball through from Kirsty right to Jenny’s feet who made it 2-1. Jenny claiming her second goal of the game..
GTAS didn’t let up, keeping the pressure up.. leading to a well executed finish from Liv with a lovely assist from Hollie 3-1
Subs made giving Dominique her debut, feeling nervous she jumped straight in and after some great passing, she plays a nice simple ball through to Liv to bag her second goal of the game.. 4-1 Putting two players on two goals and both chasing a third..
Our next goal came from another debutant Jade who started the game in defence adding another solid player in our back line..
With a couple of changes to the back line, jade now playing as a winger picked up a pass from Charlotte and shot putting it in the bottom corner 5-2
Ladybridge ladies didn’t give up and scored making it 5-2..
This wasn’t the end for GTAS, jade picking up a lose ball takes a shot which finds the back of the net making it 6-2..
An excellent performance from all our ladies.
With a solid back line, great passes from our midfielders to some great finishing from our attackers.. 💪🏻
🏆Managers player of the match goes to another debutant Hollie Barnes 💛.. bringing some quality and energy into our midfield, Hollie played some great football, tracking runnings and coming up with an assist, and showing age doesn’t matter when your willing to work hard.. well done ⚽️⚽️
Players player of the match goes to Jenny banks🧡.. another top notch performance from our striker, being a constant threat up top.. chasing down lose balls and making sure there defence didn’t get a second to think.. top it out with 2 goals.. well done ⚽️⚽️
Also a massive shout out to Jade, Dominique and Hollie making there GTAS ladies debut.. looking forward to more games to come 🩵🩷
